It was clear as day that a myriad of eyes had been watching them all along.

"Grandpa, I love him."

Brittany confessed everything, "He would never hurt me. I believe that. He truly loves me." He was Isaac.

Not the mysterious Caspian who appeared out of nowhere.

How could she not love someone who would lay down his life for her?

Knox frowned, obviously taken aback that Brittany genuinely had feelings for Isaac.

"Do you even realize "

"Grandpa, I trust him."

Brittany cut him off decisively, "Isaac and I are officially an item."

"Grandpa, please trust me, and give me some time."

Knox peered into Brittany's determined dark eyes, feeling an unexpected wave of her determination, his satisfaction with Isaac was far from present.

Apart from Isaac's obscure background, fearing he wasn't genuinely in love with Brittany but rather after the Lynette family's influence.

He also sensed that Isaac wasn't just any ordinary guy.

If Brittany ended up marrying him, the chances of her staying in Craneville were slim.

But Brittany was not one to simply follow orders.

Knox didn't want to ruin the relationship they had finally begun to mend, "When did you two get together?"

"It's been a while."

Brittany's reply was vague.

Knox sighed, "I'm okay with you two being together, but it can't be public for now. Also, replace some time to bring him over, let me and your father meet him."

Hearing her grandfather relent, Brittany also softened, "Grandpa, don't worry. Isaac and I genuinely love each other, and we're dating with marriage in mind."

Knox knew young love was impetuous. He wasn't optimistic, but he didn't want to dampen Brittany's enthusiasm either, "Love is fine, but he still needs to be brought over for a visit." The elders always had to vet.

After leaving the study, Brittany contacted her assistant to send over the photos, trying to replace out who had been tracking them.

Her encounters with Isaac were hardly noteworthy.

She couldn't fathom who had taken those photos, let alone delivered them to the Lynette family.

What were their motives?

Returning to her room, Brittany flicked on the light, only to be enveloped in a hug.

"Why are you back so late?"

Isaac had arrived earlier.

Brittany was troubled, "Our photos together got snapped, Grandpa knows."

Isaac paused, "Who did it?"

"I don't know."

A flicker of darkness crossed Isaac's eyes as he led her into the bedroom, "I'll look into it. Pretend you don't know anything."

Brittany nestled into his embrace, "Is it those people who've been after us before?"

"Could be."

Isaac was here on official business, "Try to stay indoors these days."

"Why?"

"Saskia Lynette was bailed out by the Brandt family, she won't let you off easily."

Isaac had been gathering dirt on Saskia, just a bit longer and he could send her straight to hell!

"Okay."

Isaac didn't linger, leaving once Brittany fell asleep.

The only person he could think of who would take those photos was Elijah.

Elijah had double-crossed him.

But Isaac wasn't one to be trifled with.

He'd subtly hit back, causing Elijah to lose a significant deal. As expected, Elijah came knocking the next day.

"Mr. Salter, it seems you've breached our cooperative spirit."

Isaac slid a stack of photos across, "Seems like you're the one who's breached our spirit."
