Derek was at a loss for words.

"Don't worry, I'll handle everything."

Isaac strode off before Derek could warn him to stay away from Brittany. Frustrated, Derek kicked the wall, only to hurt his own leg.

When Isaac returned home, his assistant was squatting by the door, teary-eyed. "Caspian, someone broke into my place. Could you-" "Report it to the police."

Isaac unlocked the door. "I'm not a cop. Can't help you there."

He shut the door behind him, leaving his assistant, face flushed with embarrassment, to kick at the air in frustration before walking away.

...

Brittany had a restless night, worried about Isaac's secret getting out.

The next morning, she found Derek waiting at her door.

"Sis."

"Come here."

Derek led Brittany to the balcony. "Who exactly is that guy from last night?"

"His name's Caspian." Brittany was honest. "Bro, I like him. Please, don't make it hard for him."

Hearing this, Derek was unsettled. "Do you really think I'd lay a hand on him?"

He began to doubt what he meant to Brittany.

Brittany pursed her lips. "It's just... Caspian and I are already together. We can't be torn apart."

"What about the royal family-"

"I'll handle it."

Brittany bit her lip. "Just... don't let word get out about us."

She didn't want to cause trouble for Isaac.

"I know what's at stake." Derek wouldn't betray Brittany. "I just don't trust that guy. What if he's after your title, and you end up paying for his schemes?" "That won't happen."

Brittany was quick to respond. "He would never hurt me."

Even if the whole world turned against her, Isaac wouldn't.

Derek was surprised by Brittany's blind love.

He tapped her forehead with a hint of irritation. "You're too naive. Men are unpredictable. Don't end up counting coins for him, okay?"

Brittany was unfazed. "Bro, I got it."

After their conversation, they went downstairs.

Brittany usually loved milk, but that morning, the mere thought made her nauseous.

She immediately set down the milk and took a sip of orange juice instead. The tangy sweetness was appetizing, and she drank several sips before reluctantly putting it down. "Aren't you usually a milk person?"

"Milk just tastes too strong now."

Katelin didn't think much of it and had the servants prepare two glasses of juice for her.

After breakfast, Brittany dropped Daniel off at school and headed to the office.

The day flew by, and in the evening, Yuri called her to come home for dinner.

Brittany was about to agree when Ysabel approached. "Bri, are you free tonight?"

"Dad, I've got something on tonight. I'll be home late."

"Alright."

Ysabel's visit was regarding the Bri-jeweled Studio.

They chose a restaurant, originally ordering a seafood platter, Brittany's old favorite. However, she now found it nauseating.

The smell of seafood seemed amplified, not only unappetizing but also fishy.

"What's wrong?"

Brittany waved her hand dismissively. "It's just too fishy."
