Eltham's gaze was filled with such deep affection, completely captured by the journalists. Brittany could only imagine how the media would sensationalize the story, and the whirlwind of reactions it would provoke online. Throughout the seemingly endless interview, Brittany barely remembered a word she said.
Once it was over, Eltham escorted Brittany to the car. Noticing her pale complexion, he asked with a gentle smile, "Bri, did the interview spook you?"
Brittany snapped back to the present, replaceing Eltham's presence somewhat unsettling.
"You already knew about me and Zakky."
She recalled the night Eltham showed up at the Lynette residence, "Last time, you did that on purpose, didn't you?"
Eltham relaxed back into his seat, "That's not important. What matters is, we're getting married."
Brittany couldn't understand him, "You don't care that I'm pregnant?"
"I've arranged for a procedure next week," Eltham said, his gaze darkening as he looked at her belly. "As long as the child is gone, I can pretend nothing ever happened." Brittany felt a chill run through her.
Eltham took Brittany to a villa he owned, confining her to the second floor.
"Are you imprisoning me?" Brittany asked, incredulous as she observed the guarded doors and windows.
"Bri, you've been under so much stress, I hate to see you like this. I just want you to rest," Eltham said, his gentle smile masking a chilling undertone.
Brittany tried to resist but was forcefully pushed down onto the bed by Eltham.
"Stop moving."
"You're carrying a child right now. Though I'm not fond of the child, I do care for you," Eltham said, feigning concern. "We'll have our own children someday, and I'll take good care of you." Brittany thought Eltham had lost his mind.
Eltham administered a sedative to Brittany. She wanted to fight it but soon fell victim to the overwhelming drowsiness, collapsing onto the bed.
As he caressed her face, Eltham's eyes revealed an undeniable possessiveness.
What he wanted, he would have.
Brittany was his!
...
Brittany vanished without a trace.
Yuri, feeling uneasy, rushed to the private clinic only to replace that the medical examination had long been completed, and the pre-marital checkup results were perfect. Realizing something was amiss, Yuri turned his car around and headed back to the Lynette residence.
He continuously tried calling Brittany on the drive back, but to no avail.
Upon returning, Yuri spotted Eltham from a distance.
"Stop the car!"
Yuri leaped out of the vehicle and approached Eltham, "Where's Bri?"
It was unlike Brittany not to answer her phone.
Something had happened.
Seeing Yuri's anxious look, Eltham found amusement, "Mr. Lynette, no need to worry. I came to inform you that Bri has moved in with me. We'll be getting engaged soon." "Moved in with you?" Yuri sensed something was wrong, "Impossible!"
Brittany wouldn't move in with Eltham at such a time, let alone get engaged to him!
"Mr. Lynette," Eltham's smile faltered, "She's doing well. If you don't want to be at odds with me, it's best not to dig deeper. Otherwise... if we really start investigating, the Lynette family might not withstand it." Yuri realized something bad had happened, grabbing Eltham by his shirt, "She's my only daughter. What do you plan to do with her?"
Eltham shrugged off Yuri's grip, brushing off imaginary dust, "Mr. Lynette, I just want to be with Bri. That's all."
"You-"
Eltham pushed Yuri away, "Mr. Lynette, I'm aware of Bri's pregnancy. If you don't want anything to happen to her, you'll keep this quiet, or else, you know what my mother is capable of."
