Brittany sent over a photo: "Hannah, can you dig up some dirt on this person? The more, the better."

Hannah was taken aback by the photo, "She looks just like you!"

Brittany sighed, rubbing her temples, "I've seen her before, but I can't remember where. Can you help me out?"

"You got it," Hannah assured her without hesitation.

After discussing the matter at hand, Hannah expressed her concern for Brittany's wellbeing, "How are things going with Mr. Salter? I heard about your engagement with Eltham. You guys aren't seriously considering...?" Brittany dodged the question, "Hannah, it's complicated. Let's talk about it some other time."

Hannah understood Brittany had her reasons, "Bri, I'm your best friend. Whatever you need, I'm here for you."

After hanging up, Brittany leaned back in her armchair, closing her eyes to rest.

...

When Eltham learned about Twila's identity being exposed, he immediately wanted to clear things up with Brittany.

But Brittany seemed indifferent to the whole situation, which disheartened him.

Especially since Brittany appeared so nonchalant about it all.

The two had an unpleasant argument.

For several days after, Eltham didn't show up at the villa.

Brittany enjoyed the peace, taking the opportunity to visit the Lynette family home.

Yuri, putting on his chef's hat, prepared a delicious dinner, and Daniel clung to Brittany, not wanting her to leave, "Mom, I missed you."

Brittany's heart melted for her son, holding him tight, "I missed you too, sweetheart. Tell me, how's school been?"

Daniel nodded, "It's been good."

Except for Twila always bothering him, everything was fine.

After dinner at the Lynette family home, Brittany decided to stay the night.

Coming out of the shower, she noticed a missed call from Eltham.

He must've realized she hadn't returned.

Brittany called back, "I'm at the Lynette family home. You promised you wouldn't restrict my freedom." Eltham was at a loss for words, "You can come and go as you please, but just remember to come back." Brittany hung up, leaving Eltham with a sour expression.

There was a knock at the door.

It was Hestia, holding a warm cup of milk, "Eltham, I heard about Twila's identity being revealed. I'm sorry, I only wanted a child back then. I didn't think it would come to this."

Eltham frowned, "I thought I made it clear, stay away from me."

Hestia tightened her grip on the cup, "I just wanted to apologize. If Ms. Lynette got the wrong idea, I can clarify things."

Hestia believed Eltham didn't view Brittany as just a stand-in, as he had claimed to the public.

Eltham scoffed, replaceing Hestia's naivety unchanged from eight years ago, "Hestia, you're overthinking this. Do you really believe I need your explanations?"

If Brittany was truly jealous, forcing Hestia to clarify wouldn't matter!

Unfortunately for him, Brittany couldn't care less about the situation!

Hestia, feeling utterly humiliated, wished to disappear.

"Remember, Hestia, my words from before still stand. Don't show your face around me again."

Eltham's tone was ice-cole

Hestia felt a chill down her spine, unable to utter a word.

"But if you're harboring any other intentions, I won't let you off easily!"

Stumbling back to her room, Hestia saw Twila sitting on the bed, looking concerned, "Mom, what's wrong? Did dad upset you?" Hestia turned pale, "It's nothing."

Twila hugged her, "Did dad upset you? Did that mean woman say something?"
