Hestia felt cornered.

Escorting her from the hospital, they accidentally ran into Brittany.

"Ms. Lynette."

It was the first time Hestia had faced Brittany directly, instinctively pulling Twila behind her for protection.

Brittany's face was a mask of ice: "Ms. Bennett."

"About today, it was Twila's fault, Ms. Lynette. I'm sorry."

Hestia wanted to avoid any conflict with Brittany and quickly apologized.

Twila panicked, "Mom, why are you apologizing? She's the one who broke up your marriage="

"Twila!"

Hestia's face turned ashen, "What are you talking about?"

Twila, frustrated, stormed off.

"Ms. Lynette, I'm sorry."

Hestia chased after her.

The butler, carrying medicine, stood not far off, "Ms. Lynette, we're all practically family here, and Hestia has apologized. Let's let bygones be bygones." "Apology?"

Brittany scoffed, "My son needed six stitches because of her. Do you think a simple apology makes everything okay?"

"It's either Twila gets six stitches, or she apologizes herself!"

With that, Brittany strode off.

The butler couldn't believe her audacity.

Back at the royal residence, Twila exaggerated the story, painting herself as blameless, "Grandma, he was bullying me!"

The queen had already seen the security footage; she knew Twila was at fault.

But she didn't want to side with Brittany, even hoping this might make her back down.

"Kids will be kids. If she wants to make a big deal out of it, let her," the queen dismissed.

Twila, lying next to her, was smug. Grandma always had her back!

Hestia wanted to speak up but couldn't replace the words.

Daniel was in the hospital, and Brittany had put all her work on hold to be by his side.

In the afternoon, Eltham visited the hospital.

Seeing Daniel's injury, he frowned, not expecting Twila to go so far.

"Bri, this shouldn't have happened. I apologize on Twila's behalf."

Brittany was nonchalant, "Eltham, my son is my life. You think your apology is enough after what Twila did?" Brittany grew even colder.

Eltham bit his lip, "Bri-"

"Eltham, what I'm asking for is simple," Brittany met his gaze. "If you can't do that, we'll have to take legal steps."

Eltham was reluctant, "Bri, we're family. Why make things so difficult?"

"Eltham, am I the other woman?" Brittany challenged. "Did I tear apart your family? You know better than anyone how our engagement came

about!" ve

"All this time, because of you, I've been the laughingstock of Craneville. Have I ever complained?" Brittany clenched her fists. "Your daughter had no right to touch my son!"

Eltham sighed deeply, knowing the ridicule Brittany faced was because of Twila's presence.

"I'll make Twila apologize," he finally conceded.

Brittany waved him off, "Just leave."

Eltham left the hospital reluctantly and returned to the royal estate.

Twila's facial wounds had mostly healed. Seeing Eltham, she rushed into his arms like a little bird, "Daddy!"

Eltham knelt down but pushed her away, "Why did you push Daniel?"

Twila pouted, so the wicked woman had tattled!

"She broke you and mom up, I was just teaching him a lesson!"

Eltham was taken aback by her words, "Twila!"

"Daddy, are you mad at me?"

Twila's eyes welled up with tears.

Eltham couldn't stay angry at her, his

"Then why is she marrying you?"
