Chapter 650
Isaac showing up was like dropping a depth charge in a lake, immediately drawing attention from many people.
The Salter family and the Chester family had fallen out ages ago.
Now that Isaac was here, he was probably using the wedding as an excuse to get close to Brittany.
The guests exchanged glances, seeming to reach a consensus that Brittany was probably going to have a hard time shaking Isaac off.
The wedding finished, and the feast began.
Brittany sat with the Chester family. Besides the parents from both sides, there was also a young man at the table.
Blake clearly wanted to set them up, dropping hints left and right, trying to play matchmaker.
Brittany wasn't some kind of fool; she knew Blake was trying to hook her up with a boyfriend.
Under everyone's gaze, Brittany couldn't just brush him off.
The guy was quite friendly, with a subtle air of superiority in his conversation. He seemed to disapprove of Brittany's divorce.
Although Brittany maintained a calm exterior, she was already thinking of how to reject him privately so as not to disappoint everyone or embarrass him.
When it was their turn to toast, Lionel and Moon raised their glasses together.
Brittany took a sip of her wine, and the man next to her asked in a low voice, "You're very close with the Chester family, right? Did you get Mr. Chester a wedding gift?"
Brittany frowned, feeling the question was a bit presumptuous, but out of politeness, she nodded. "Yes, I did."
"What is it?" He asked curiously.
"Two villas and a car."
And some company shares.
The Chester family had done her many favors, and Lionel had always protected her. When he got married, she couldn't just ignore it. However, Lionel didn't want her gifts. He wanted her to have a good life and even transferred some shares of Chester Group to her.
When he heard this, the man's face looked a bit strange.
In Imperial City, houses were extremely expensive. Two villas and a car would undoubtedly be worth over nine figures.
There was no denying that Brittany was loaded.
"Ms. Dustin, you and the Chester family aren't really related by blood; you need to be more careful in the future."
If they got married and she kept spending like this, he might not be able to handle it.
Brittany suddenly felt furious and lost her prior gentleness. "Sir, we've just met. How I spend my money is my business. The Chester family treats me like their own child. I don't believe my gifts are extravagant. In fact, I think money is an external thing; it's just a token of my affection."
With that, Brittany walked away.
Blake originally had high hopes for this man, but he didn't expect him to try to control Brittany as soon as they met.
His admiration instantly turned to disgust, and he even regretted introducing him to Brittany without knowing him well. Brittany had a couple of drinks and went back to the lounge.
When she opened the door, the light was on, and Brittany realized something was wrong. She instinctively wanted to flee.
But a pair of hands held the door, and Isaac approached her. "Did the Chester family set you up on a blind date?"
"What's it to you?" Brittany frowned. The blind date the Chester family set up for her had caught her off guard. What did Isaac mean by his questioning tone?
Isaac picked her up as his hand tightly wrapped around her waist, and with a sweep of his other hand, all the bottles and jars on the makeup table fell to the ground. He pressed her against the table and leaned in. "You're the mother of my son! Isn't them setting you up just looking for trouble with me?"
"Isaac, let go of me..." Brittany hastily said.
This was the Chester family's wedding; how dare he be so bold?

Brittany tried to push him away, but he held her hands firmly above her head. His warm breath brushed against her neck. "You can't accept their proposal."
Brittany never intended to accept it, but hearing him say it like this made her angry. "I am going to accept!"
"The man Blake introduced must be a good man. Why can't I accept him? Am I supposed to stay single forever?"
"A good man?" Isaac scoffed, his eyes dark. "He just met you, and he's already focused on your wealth; you call that a good man?"
