Chapter 736

"Lucas, what's up?"

"Can you come over?" Lucas gave an address, "Mr. Salter is here, drunk as a skunk."

Brittany paused for a few seconds before saying, "Sorry, I just got home. Can't you call Nathan?"

What did Isaac's drunkenness have to do with her?

Brittany ended the call, switched off her phone, and drifted into sleep.

Unable to get Brittany over, Lucas glanced at Isaac slumped over the table and had no choice but to call Wesley.

Wesley arrived, looking travel-worn. There was a lipstick mark on his white shirt, which made him look particularly ambiguous. Lucas stood up, "Mr. Tueley."

Wesley was a bit surprised to see Lucas, "Lucas, you and Zac..."

"We're business partners," Lucas replied truthfully.

In fact, Isaac had put in much effort to join this project.

Lucas had expected him to fight tooth and nail, but Isaac spent the entire night drowning his sorrows, mumbling Brittany's name.

Wesley looked at Isaac with frustration, helped him up, and said, "Thanks."

Wesley took Isaac back to Radiant Residences.

Emily was in the hospital, and the entire Radiant Residences was eerily quiet.

He helped Isaac to his room, took off his shoes, made him a cup of coffee, and called the housekeeper to come and take care of Isaac. The housekeeper rushed back.

Before Wesley left, he gave the housekeeper a stern look, "Keep a close eye on him, and don't let him wander off." "Yes, sir."

Isaac's drunkenness didn't bother Brittany, and she carried on with her life as usual.

After that day, Isaac seemed to vanish. He didn't show up in Brittany's world for a long time.

Brittany was relieved. When Grace was discharged from the hospital, Brittany paid a visit.

As soon as she walked into the ward, she saw a man emerging out of the bathroom.

He was tall as ever but leaner. It was Isaac. He seemed to be enveloped in an aura of melancholy and aloofness. Their eyes met, sparks flying.

Brittany quickly averted her gaze, "Daniel, do you want to go home?"

Daniel was by Grace's side. When he saw Brittany, he called her Mom, "Mom, can stay with Grace for a while?"

He wanted to be with Grace.

Brittany had no reason to refuse, "All right, but behave yourself. No mischief."

Grace thanked Brittany for her understanding.

After completing the discharge procedures, Emily and Grace left, with Daniel closely following.

Isaac stared straight at Brittany, his eyes fixed on her, "I'm sorry for disturbing you when I was drunk last time."

Brittany frowned, "Next time you're drunk, don't call me."

She had no obligation to put up with Isaac.

Isaac clenched his fist and took a while to speak, "I've been busy lately. I haven't had time to look after Daniel. When he goes back, please take care of him." Brittany had heard about the bitter feud between the Salter brothers. She had no interest in the secrets of the wealthy and felt only annoyance.

"I understand." Brittany turned to leave, but Isaac suddenly moved forward and hugged her, "Don't move."

Brittany froze, "Isaac, let go."

Had he lost his mind?

Hugging her out of the blue?

Isaac's grip was strong, it made Brittany's bones ache. She struggled but couldn't break free, so she gave up.

Isaac smelled her scent, took a deep breath, "I miss you."

Brittany took advantage of his momentary distraction and broke free, "That's your problem, not mine."

Brittany left, and Isaac clenched his fist, trying to retain the scent of Brittany in his palm.
