"Jared," Brittany's voice was cool and detached, "first off, you're the head of YULI. Over the years, the company has expanded massively, yet we're looking at annual losses in the billions. Don't you think you owe me an explanation? A third-tier brand employing over seven hundred people?"

From its humble beginnings as a tiny workshop, Bri-jeweled Studio has climbed to the top of the Craneville scene, raking in revenues of over sixty billion a year. And that's with a workforce of less than two hundred, even after all the expansions.

"But, Ms. Lynette," Jared tried to interject, "many of YULI's staff have been with us for years..."

"So be generous with the severance packages," she cut him off without a trace of sentimentality. Brittany was a businesswoman, not a philanthropist. "Do as I say, Jared."

After hanging up, Jared slammed his phone down, his face a mask of fury.

The massive layoffs at YULI caused quite the stir, with many speculating that the company was on the brink of collapse. As a stagnant third-tier brand, it was about time it folded.

Brittany was ruthless. In just three days, she cut over a hundred staff. Some of the long-timers refused to leave, attempting to confront Brittany, only to be shut down by a simple glance at the performance charts.

"We're not here to subsidize idleness with YULI's money; we need results!"

"After six years, you can't even produce a basic design draft. What are you still doing here?"

Humiliated and angry, the employees had no choice but to leave.

With the old guard gone, anxiety spread through YULI like wildfire.

Once all the severance talks were over, Brittany called her first meeting.

All remaining employees assembled.

Sitting at the head of the table, Brittany declared, "It's clear to all that YULI is not in good shape. Those of you remaining have your strengths. Let's not dwell on the past. From today onwards, I expect no tardiness, no early departures, no absences without leave, and certainly no backsliding."

She gestured, and her assistant laid out the new rules. The employees turned pale with fear.

After the meeting, everyone filed out of the conference room.

Back in her office, Jared followed closely. "Ms. Lynette, what's your next move?"

"I've got a meeting with a client. I need to leave."

Brittany was determined to turn YULI around and had a clear strategy in mind.

Watching her leave, Jared's eyes deepened with malice.

Brittany didn't waste any time. She started reaching out to renowned jewelry designers, planning to launch the Crown Jewel Design Challenge under the banner of the Lynette Conglomerate, with a prize fund in the hundreds of millions.

With such a hefty reward, talent was sure to come knocking.
