Chapter 326

"Luca, guess who I bumped into today?" James chatted away as he was driving, on the phone with Lucian,

"Who'd you run into?" Lucian asked from the other end.

"Went to the cemetery today, saw Allison and her mom. James said, "Didnt expect Allison's family situation to be so rough. Both her brother and father are gone."

"Why are you telling me about Allison? Lucian asked.

James raised an eyebrow at Lucian's question, He stopped at a red light and put on some music, "Luca, you sure you never want to hear about her again? If I run into her in the future. I wont." Lucian simply replied, 'Mind your own business."

"Luca, if you're into Allison, then go after her. She's working at the Red Jack Club. I could organize a get-together tonight, we could all go?" James said.

"I don't have time" Lucian said.

"Alright, then I'll just invite some other friends, including Nicholas." James said.

"Why would you invite him?" Lucian asked.

"He's Felix's grandson. My family has been doing some business with the Youngs recently, so I need to get to know him better. If there's a chance, I could introduce you two." James said.

There was silence on the other end for a few seconds.

As the light turned green, James hit the gas The roads around the cemetery were wide and not very busy, with only a few buses coming and going. James kept his eyes on the road, humming along to the song. He seemed to have a hunch that Lucian would eventually say yes, so he didn't hang up the phone

After a few seconds, Lucian's voice sounded in his ear, "We'll talk tonight."

Then, he hung up.

James chuckled. He knew that as long as it involved Allison, Lucian would definitely come. But he still wanted to know, what was it about Allison that

made Lucian so smitten?

At 4:30 in the afternoon, Central Library.

Allison was wearing a white shirt and dark blue jeans, her hair cascading over her shoulders, looking fresh and natural. She didn't make an effort to dress up, just brushed her hair and looked at the young man in front of her.

He looked a few years older than her, wearing black framed glasses, and sporting a nerdy but kind appearance.

"Hi, I'm Brook The man said, adjusting his glasses and nervously looking behind him.

Allison knew that sitting behind him in the booth were Ana, Grace, and Brook's mother.

Allison smiled and said. "Hello, I'm Allison"

Brook glanced at Allison's face, seeming a bit shy, Tve heard your name before. It's really pretty. Just from your name, I can tell you must be a very kind and gentle girl."

"You're too kind." Allison said.

"I'll introduce myself. I've been working at Genesis Industries for two years now and I'm the leader of a project team." Brook said.

Before Allison could respond, Brook's mother chimed in. Her voice wasn't loud, but it wasn't quiet either, everyone around could hear clearly. "My son is truly exceptional. He's been in the top 5 of his class from middle school to high school, and every semester in college he received a scholarship. After starting his career, in just two years, he became a project team leader" Marian proudly praised her son, You all know Genesis Industries, right? It's a subsidiary of Lindberg Corporation Lindberg Corporation is a big company! His salary is over ten thousand dollars a month."

Ana's voice followed, "Brook has always been outstanding since he was little. Grace, he's a good kid, couldn't be more perfect for Allie."

Grace cracked a slight smile.
