The Billionaire’s Maid Bride (Flanagan and Allison) -
Chapter 346
Chapter 346
Oakwood Hotel was a small-scale joint, tagged as a hotel, but it was just a notch better than a motel really.
The front desk staff, most of them were the boss's relatives or buddies.
This receptionist was kinda hesitant, "But we've got rules in the industry, cant spill guests' info. He seems to go by the name Max, a tall guy, built like a brick house
Cicely left the hotel, mentally jotting down the name Max. She hailed a cab, a tear trickling down her cheek. She was utterly humiliated, didn't know who to turn to with this shame, so she just cried in silence. The cabbie took a peek at her, "What's the matter, miss? Got your heart broken? Don't cry"
This only made Cicely more heartbroken. Last night she just went to a friend's birthday shindig at the Red Jack Club. As she was leaving, a sudden pain hit her at the back of her head, and then she blacked
out
Allison noticed the fridge was packed with grub. She knew Grace had fed her a line.
Grace was usually frugal, not the type to splurge or waste, let alone shop for groceries when the fridge was already full. Grace was usually very economical.
But why would Grace lie? Why did she play her?
Allison was stumped. Did Grace have any reason to lie to her?
At lunch, Allison decided to whip up something. As she got the ingredients from the fridge, she noticed half a bowl of chicken soup in the pot.
Allison furrowed her brows
The seasoning in the pot was clearly for soup. She knew her mom wouldn't just leave half a bowl of soup, nor would she use a hen for soup, and she certainly didn't fancy greasy food So, the only explanation was, this soup was made for someone else.
Grace hardly know anyone in Northfield Back when she was with the Flanagan family, she mostly stayed home, and besides cooking and taking care of the Flanagans, she didn't do much else
Allison's grandparents had passed away And suddenly, Allison felt like she didn't know her own mom anymore
Her phone vibrated, interrupting Allisons train of thought Allison walked to the living room, glanced at her phone. It was Gavin.
She picked up right away, "Gavin, hey, it's Allison, about earlier
Before she could finish, Gavin cut her off, I know, I remember you, Allison" He continued, "Calling me, you've made up your mind, huh? Showbiz ain't a walk in the park, but you're cut out for it. The moment I laid eyes on you, I knew, you belong in the entertainment industry"
Allisons face was a born performer's face. Showbiz today needed actors like Allison, with her fresh, unblemished look and lively acting chops.
"Gavin, if you come across any suitable roles, could you put in a good word for me?" Allison asked
"Sure, no problem" Gavin said.
After hanging up. Allison breathed a sigh of relief.
Some roads, once she took the first step, there was no turning back. Since she had chosen this path, she gotta stick to it.
In the afternoon, Allison planned to sign up for an acting workshop online. After all, she was no pro. Even though she had got camera presence, she fell short in many areas. Her acting was intuitive, but lacked technique and experience. She scoured the internet for a while but found nothing.
She took a peek at her social media, and noticed a post Aaron shared.
