Chapter 359

Red Jack Club.

Allison had tried to reach Payton twice, but got no response. This had her worried.

Just as she was about to go look for Payton, Ashley called out to her, telling her the new shift schedule was out. She dragged Allison over to take a look.

"Aw man, Payton's name isn't on the schedule. Did she take some time off? Even if she did, it would've been marked."

Allison stared at the schedule.

"I'm gonna go check in with Sarah," she told Ashley.

Ever since Payton found out that the big boss was the man she'd been looking for, she'd only seen him once. After that, there was no sign of Payton. Could something have happened?

Allison made it to Sarah's office in no time. She knocked and went in. Sarah was on the phone, so Allison waited. When Sarah finished, she gave Allison a glance, "Have a seat." "Sarah, do you know if something's happened to Payton?"

Sarah brought over a cup of coffee, "About Payton... sit down. I'll fill you in."

"Sarah..." Allison looked at Sarah, noticing a change in her expression.

Could something really have happened to Payton?

"Allison, about Payton's situation... it's best you keep your nose out of it. Yesterday, Wiley came by and took Payton to the CEO's office. In the afternoon, I got the news that Payton was fired." Allison's eyes widened, "Why? Could it be... she bit her lip, "Is the big boss really the man Payton was looking for?"

Sarah glanced at Allison, who was biting her lip hard.

"I've been working here for over a decade, Allison. Be careful with your words. The less you know, the better. If the boss is indeed the man Payton was talking about, it's better for us not to know." Allison knew Payton's story. She knew how important this man was to Payton. A promise from a man might be made casually, but a woman could remember it for a lifetime. He probably forgot about Payton long ago.

She stood up, got Payton's home address from Sarah, and prepared to leave the office.

Sarah watched Allison's retreating figure, "By the way, Allison, have you run into any trouble recently? Has Serena been. giving you a hard time?"

Allison looked at Sarah, nodding, "There is something I need to tell you..."

Sarah had a bad feeling.

Allison told Sarah about what happened in the private room the night before. Sarah frowned, "I knew it. Serena would do something like this. Work on the second floor for the next few days. Call me if there's any trouble."

"Thank you, Sarah.”

"By the way." Sarah said, "I heard from Gavin that you've been in touch. Are you thinking about taking him up on his offer?"

Allison clenched her fists, "Opportunities are something you have to seize yourself, right?"

"Good for you!"

On Saturday afternoon, Allison arrived promptly at the entrance of Center Stage Academy.

She followed the instructions in the text message on her phone, arrived at the entrance of the big conference room, picked up her class card, signed her name, and then walked in.

She was wearing a mask. When she arrived, the seats were almost filled up, so she ended up at the very back.

At first, Allison felt odd about wearing a mask. But when she walked in and saw the crowd...

There were way too many students attending Jennifer's acting class. Not just students from this school, but a lot of celebrities as well.

Most were wearing masks and dressed to the nines.
