The Billionaire’s Regret
Chapter 226 –

IVY's POV

Saturday morning, Wyatt and I were helping the kid's nannies pack their things. Tomorrow is our flight to Paris. So, we need to move the kids to my father's mansion. Wyatt's mom wants to get Amethyst, but Wyatt tells her that she can just visit her granddaughter at the Morgan's mansion. "Mommy, please buy me some books, OK?" Amethyst suddenly uttered, breaking the silence on us.

I smiled at her and nodded. "Yes, sweetie. We will not forget that. How about you, Phoenix?" I asked my son, who was beside me and trying to fold her blouse.

"Coloring book, mommy. And I want cars," the little boy replied.

I nodded and smiled at him. "Sure, baby. Noted."

"And mommy-"

"Hi, guys!" Amethyst was cut by his dad, who just came in.

Wyatt went towards me and gave me a peck on the lips, which made Amethyst and Phoenix scream in embarrassment.

Wyatt laughed and sat in front of me as I continued to prepare the things that our kids needed.

"Daddy, why are you always eating my mommy?" Phoenix asked all of a sudden, which made me gasp and let out a soft chuckle.

"Am I?" Wyatt asked a playful smile flustered on his face.

"Yes! And I saw you eating her again near the kitchen yesterday. Right, Amethyst?" Phoenix uttered and looked at his sister.

Amethyst pressed her lips and nodded.

Wyatt then burst into laughter, and I can't help myself not to too. Wyatt shook his head before answering. "I'm not eating your mommy. Soon, when you grow up, you will understand it. But now-"

"I know already. A couple in my books kissed, and I already know about the Romance thing. And also, I've seen one book at the library, daddy," Amethyst asserted, which makes Wyatt frown slightly. "It's Kama Sutra-"

"You read it?!" Wyatt's booming voice echoed inside the kid's room.

I saw how Amethyst's forehead creased. She shook her head. "No, Daddy."

Wyatt sighed in relief. "That's for adults only. I know that you're good at reading, sweetie. But please, limit it, OK. Don't browse books in the library again. You have many books on your own shelf. And we're going to buy you new ones again." Amethyst nodded, and it gave me a sigh of relief. Despite her age, I know my daughter. She's responsible and understandable. It's just that we have no control over her mind-she's too intelligent that we can't even ride on, sometimes.

"Put this last cloth into your luggage, Amethyst," I said as I reached towards her the folded shirt. My daughter grabbed it and put it above her small luggage.

Wyatt then zipped to close it.

"Don't give grandpa a headache while mommy and daddy are away, OK?"

Amethyst and Phoenix nodded. "Yes, mommy," they uttered in unison.

I turned to Wyatt. "After we drop the kids off, we're going to Windy's apartment," I said, and he nodded.

When we were already done fixing the kids' things, we went down to have some snacks first before traveling to my parent's house.

On our way, Amethyst and Phoenix were busy playing on their tablets. I turned to them. "Amethyst, don't use gadgets straight, OK? I will tell grandpa about it."

Amethyst lifted her head to face me. "Don't worry, mom. I know what to do. Just enjoy your stay in Paris," my grown-up boy said, and it made me feel happy and lucky. Amethyst grew up with good manners, and at her age, she could already think what an older can do.

"We'll count on you, sweetie," Wyatt said as he glanced at the rearview mirror.

Amethyst's eyes widened, and she smiled widely. "I will not disappoint you, daddy, and also mommy," she said, and she continued playing on her tablet.

I sighed and let out a smile when I sat adequately.

"You're such a good mother, Ivy," Wyatt uttered, which made me turn to his side.

I let out a smile.

"The kids grew up with good manners. They're very responsible and respectful. Despite the things that we've been through. You never failed to raise them well," he asserted, which makes me turn to the window and look for the things outside. I don't want to cry. I'm flattered about it, and I hate that any moment, my tears will fall.

"And Thank you so, so much for that, baby," he continued.

I turned to him. "Honey, I don't want to cry," I said and let out a soft chuckle, making Wyatt smile.

"All right then, baby. But still thank-"

"It's my responsibility as their mother, honey," I cut the hum of his words.

"And I admire you for that," he replied.

I smiled and nodded. "Thank you, honey-"

"I call you baby, and you call me honey. Hmm... am I that sweet like honey?" Wyatt suddenly uttered, which made me grimace.

"Wyatt," I warned.

He glanced at me for a second before gazing back in front. "What? I'm just-"

"Daddy, Mommy," Amethyst uttered, which made me look at her.

"Yes, sweetie?" I asked.

"Why don't you two just call each other corny? Because you both were corny," she said and winced. "You're giving us goosebumps with your sweet words," she added, which made my eyes widen and face Wyatt. He glanced at me with a smile on his face. "Seems like boys will cry when she grows up," he said as he was pertaining to Amethyst.

And somehow, I agreed. Wyatt has a point.

After a couple of minutes, we arrived at my father's house. We didn't stay any longer since dad said we needed to prepare for our flight tomorrow. We then left the house after a couple of talks with my father.

We don't have any problems with the kids since they can understand, and they know that their mom and dad need to have some time together. Amethyst, who's very supportive of us, even shoo us immediately. While Phoenix did cry, she did understand it. And now, it's us who seem not used without the kids on our side.

"I thought it would be that easy, but I am thinking of them again at this moment," Wyatt uttered as we traveled towards Windy's house.

"We feel the same," I replied and heaved a deep sigh. "Maybe it's good if we also have a family trip abroad at least once a month if you're not busy at work," I suggested.

"I can always replace time for my family, and I agree with that. We need to plan for it then. They have passports already, right?" he asked, which made me turn to his side. I nodded. "Yes."

"Great. After this trip, we'll plan for it," he uttered.

After a few minutes of driving, we arrived at Windy's building.

"Did you text her?" Wyatt asked.

"Yes. I informed her about it. Do you want to come inside?" I asked, but Wyatt just shook his head.

"I'll wait here. You need to convince her to come, OK?"

I nodded and smiled. "OK," I replied and gave a peck on his lips. "I'll be right back," I said.
