Chapter 230 –

IT WAS six in the evening when Cooper and Windy decided to walk near the Eiffel Tower. They sat on the bench and saw the glimmering tower perfectly. Cooper reached for her hand and put it on his lips as he placed a soft kiss.

"Windy," he breathed and put down their hands as he looked at her side. Windy met his eyes. "I don't want us to fight. If we can fix it right away, we shouldn't prolong it," Cooper said. Windy heaved a deep sigh. "I'm sorry if I'm like this. I can't help but get angry or lay my hands on you. I don't know. There's a reason why," said Windy.

"Reason?" Cooper asked in confusion.

Windy closed her mouth and looked away. "It's nothing," he said.

"Just what I said. I hope we don't prolong our fight. Ivy and Wyatt teased us because of your-I mean our behavior," he uttered.

"I love you, Cooper. You know that. But if you're not sure and if you have concerns about it just because I'm slapping or punching you, just get away from me, then," she added.

Cooper sighed. "That's not my point, Windy," he continued. "I love you more, and you only determine me. I've endured for years because I think you're not ready yet. I've waited, Windy. I honored your decision way back then. I gave you a long time to ponder. Maybe this time you won't drive me away from you. Because I can't handle it anymore," he remarked at length.

Windy's eyes started to get teary. She locked her gaze on the beautiful tower to restrain herself from crying.

"Baby..." Cooper said softly as he cupped her face and let her face him. "I love you and will always will," he said and pressed his lips into hers.

That lasted a long then suddenly, Cooper kneeled in front of her, which made her gasp in surprise. Her left hand went into her mouth and covered it.

"C-Cooper, what are you doing?" she asked.

"Windy..." Cooper started, "I know I'm a jerk for not showing up for days. I swear, baby. I regretted that-"

"I understand, but what do you think are you doing right now?" she asked.

"Listen to me, baby," he continued. "I tried my best to replace out what will be your dream proposal-"

"C-Cooper-"

"Just listen to me, baby," he said, and he let out a red box from his pocket. "I gave you my heart with this ring."

Windy gasped in tears as she looked at the ring, and now, she got that idea about it.

"From this day onward, you would never travel alone; my heart would be your refuge, and my arms would be your home. You deserve the finest, someone who will unconditionally support you, allow you to grow without boundaries, and love you without end. I see a reflection of the two of us and the life I hope we'll share when I look into your eyes.

"I'm certain you're the only person I want to spend the remainder of my life with. Every day, I promise to love you. All I desired was someone to look after me, someone to be there for me; all I desired was someone like you. I feel that if we are fortunate enough to have met in the first place, we are worth betting on for the rest of our lives. Will you take that gamble with me?" he continued, which made her stunned and can't move.

Tears keep pouring out from her eyes. Her vision started to get blurry. Her heart began to thump fast. She was not expecting this.

"I know this far beyond your dream propo-"

"Yes!" she cut into his words. "Yes, Cooper Morgan. I will take the gamble with you. I will bet my life for you-" she didn't finish her words when Cooper claimed her lips. And after that, he put on her ring finger the symbol of his affection for Windy, his fiancé.

He was happy that, at last, he took the courage to express his love for her. He knew this was not the best proposal but Windy saying YES in front of him makes him feel euphoric. And he will promise that he will do everything to give Windy the life she wishes and deserves.

He will always be there for her. And also wanted to be a great father to their future children. Cooper couldn't help but smile when the idea of having kids hits his mind.

With the perfect view on their back, they savor their moment as they hug each other, and suddenly, Windy lets go of the hug. She looked up and met his eyes. "Cooper," she uttered.

"Hmm?"

"I want to say something to you but promise me you won't get angry," she said and bit her lower lip.

Cooper's forehead creased. "Why would I get angry?" he asked.

Windy bit her lower lip again and met his eyes. "Cooper..."

"Windy," he said and smiled, which made Windy hit him on the shoulder. He laughed. "Tell me, baby. What do you want to-"

"I'm pregnant."

"Ah. You're pregnant-" he paused, and his eyes widened. "Y-You what?"

Windy smiled and wiped the tears that fell from her eyes. "I'm pregnant," she repeated.

And it was that moment when Windy screamed because Cooper fell on his knees, a good thing Windy caught his head, and his weight made her sit on the bench.

Trembling hands, Windy picked up her phone and called Ivy. Good thing, her friend answered her phone in just three rings.

"Ivy," she uttered as she sobbed. She knew it was just a faint from shock, but her pregnancy hormones jerked her up, which made her heart thump fast, and she felt nervous.

"What's wrong?" Ivy asked on the other line, and Windy then told them their location. After a few minutes, a black Ashton Martin parked nearby.

Windy was hoping that it was their friends, and she was right. Her eyes shine once more when Ivy and Wyatt approach their side.

"What happened to my brother?" Ivy asked as she held Windy's shoulder. Wyatt carried Cooper, and then he walked towards his car while Ivy guided Windy and grabbed her by the arm. "What's wrong?" Windy sighed and explained what happened.
