The Blind Luna -
Chapter 59
“I think we should make sure all pack members lock up in their houses and have no movement, let’s call it a lockdown to protect members of the pack,” Sabrina suggested.
“That great idea. I would mind-link my beta about if and set warriors for each shift. We would make sure to set rules so no pack member gets in trouble.” Simon let out as Sabrina watched the seriousness on his charming face. He sounded like the father of the whole pack who was trying to protect his children at all costs.
Soon the sky became dark as the wind blew heavily with thunder. The moon hid himself under the dark clouds, the occasional flash of the lightning outside was illustrating the room.
Sabrina gave a small smile when the rain began to hit the rooftop making sounds. “I wish we weren’t in so many problems, this could have been a perfect weather for two,” Simon said as a tiny blush became visible on Sabrina’s face.
“Alpha, something terrible ensued,” Simon’s Beta mind-linked. Simon wondered if his Beta ever got tired of giving him bad news. “What?” Simon mind-linked.
“One of Sabrina’s twins got taken away,” his beta said, making Simon’s eyes bulge. “We are trying to get a hold of the person.” His beta mind-linked.
“Sabrina, there is something you have to know, please don’t freak out,” Simon begged. “What Simon?” She asked. “It’s one of the twins, someone took him,” Simon uttered out. “How? When?” Sabrina asked.
“The person must be part of our pack because there are patrols all over,” Simon said. “I can’t stand here then, my child is in danger because of me,” Sabrina muttered before running inside the rain, Simon followed her without saying any words.
The wind outside wrestled and leaves fell to the floor as Sabrina ran to the border before the betrayer in their pack could get out. The rain kept smacking itself on both she and Simon as they trudged to the border.
Sabrina got to the border to notice the skirmish around the border but her eyes screened the area for any hint of her child. Soon she noticed Her baby clutched to a lady who ran out of the border. ‘How could she open the border?’ Sabrina thought.
She had no time to think as she followed the wolf. The woody smell of the woods hit her nostril and the rain had begun to pour heavier, Sabrina shifted into her wolf after a long time as she chased after the betrayer.
Her paws hit puddles of soaked mud but nothing was going to stop her until she had gotten back her child. She was breathing hard as she tried to smell her pup, the rain increased its pour as the water began to make the wood damper but Sabrina wasn’t bothered.
The wind began to blow her heavily but she still didn’t stop. She would hate herself a million times if anything happened to Cain and when she got a hold of this betrayer, she was going to feed her heart to the dangerous animal in the woods.
As she got deeper into the woods. She noticed Sarah trembling in the rain and clutching her pup tightly. A thing Sabrina never imagined seeing, she had no hunch that she could betray them. Was all she had said been a lie? Sabrina was angry and worried.
Angry that she was a traitor and worried that she was going to show Sarah the cruel side of her for messing with the pack members and trying to put her pup in danger, Sabrina was about to step closer when Sarah pulled out a knife before placing it close to her son’s neck.
“One step and the baby’s throat get slit.” She threatened making Sabrina halt. Sabrina knew that if plan A of getting to her didn’t work, she needed to play with her emotions as plan B.
“So, you came into an innocent pack to become a traitor. How do you feel after doing this?” Sabrina asked, taking a step forward.
“I told you not to get any closer,” Sarah yelled.
“What have we done to you? The person who most have sent you here knew your life wasn’t so important, Sarah.” Sabrina said. “Who gave you the right to tell me who’s life is important and which isn’t?” Sarah let out.
“Because I was once like you, they tried to step on me because they felt they were in a higher position. Trust me, you can drop your knife and give my pup back to me so we can settle our differences amicably.” Sabrina pleaded.
“Never, I’d rather kill this pup and take my__” Sarah was about to say but was nudged hard on the head. Her hand let loose of the knife clutched to her hand as Simon quickly collected Cain from her grip before she could let him go.
He stared at Sabrina before gazing at Sarah’s body on the floor. “I knew she was a traitor from the beginning and now she wants to endanger our pack. what a deserter. ” Simon let out soaked in the rain.
“”””””””””
Sabrina had changed into better clothing and dried her hair before tucking her both babies into sleep. Simon had kept a guard present to watch them. She stared at them before leaving soft pecks on their forehead.
She clenched their tiny hands each as sleep seized her.
The next morning, Sabrina dressed up before going to the interrogation room to notice Simon and Marcus. Sarah was still out from last night. “How is she doing?” Sabrina asked.
“No one cares how a traitor is doing, we just have to fish out who had sent her,” Simon said, collecting the frozen cold water from one of his warrior’s grip before splashing the whole content on Sarah.
Sarah instantly sprang up from her little nap before looking around. “Do you know what I hate the most?” Simon asked Sarah who didn’t let a word slip out of her mouth. Sabrina knew that she was trying to keep all that she knew to herself.
“Of course, your mouth is tightlipped now but they wouldn’t be when you see the tough part of me.” Simon let out in rage.
“Tell me, were you the one who had made the dark howler pack to pick a war with us tomorrow?” Simon asked but Sarah still kept mute without saying a word. Right now, Simon was getting more furious.
Before Sabrina knew what was happening Simon gripped Sarah tightly on the neck as she choked hard to breathe. Sabrina quickly pulled his grip off her, “You shouldn’t Simon, she is just a female wolf which was used to get to us. We can do this the right way.” Sabrina said, caressing his shoulders to calm him down but he only stared at her in pure rage.
His eyes had turned a shade of red, Sabrina knew at that moment that his wolf had taken control.
