The Blind Luna
Chapter 64

PRESENT-DAY

Simon’s heart was pumping hard beneath his chest as he headed to the Sali Crescent pack with a few of Sonia’s female Warrior trudging behind him. He couldn’t wait to see Sabrina, he already knew what he wanted to say to her. He wanted to be ethical about who he honestly was and not keep hiding in the dark side of his past.

When they got close to the Sali Crescent border. Simon noticed the warriors, very few warriors lined up with equipment, he shifted back to his human form. He trudged towards them with the female warriors still behind him. It took a few seconds for them to comprehend that it was really Simon, if not for the very serious situation.

Simon could have busted out into uncontrollable laughter. Simon began to notice the smile on their face as it got visible, his gaze met with the person he had been thinking of all this while. She seemed tired but still beautiful like he had remembered.

The look on Sabrina’s face was like she was replaceing it hard to believe that Simon was actually the one standing right in front of them. Simon smiled when he noticed the huge smile that was beginning to creep on his mate’s face and the bond he felt at that time was angelic.

“Cupcake,” he called as he watched her drop the ax to her grip before strolling towards him. Simon knew that the look on her face was of a person who had seen a ghost. She gazed at him without saying a single word but he already knew that she had a lot of questions to ask but right now she wanted him to say something, just anything to show that it was really him.

Instead, he let his hand do the speaking. His hands scampered towards her cheeks before caressing them softly. “Why did you disappear?” She asked before pulling him into a very tight hug, Simon could hardly breathe.

“I don’t want you to ever leave my side anymore, I wouldn’t be able to think straight.” Sabrina let out. They were still in their moment when the shooting of arrows was being gored everywhere. Simon pushed Sabrina to the floor with his body still clutched to her’s, soon the arrow shooting was over as Simon gazed at Sabrina to be sure that she was okay.

He stood up to pull Sabrina up when a knife was placed to his neck. He peered back to notice a group of army men who had sharp knives to all his warriors while some had been shot by their arrows.

“Who precisely sent you,” Simon asked but all too soon, the trudging sound of footsteps was heard. Simon was shocked and at the same time amazed to see the face of his uncle. It has been a long time.

“It’s my murderous nephew. Never had I thought that you would survive that day but I guess my men were incompetent to kill you as I had instructed,” his uncle let out. “You and I know that I did nothing to father, you were the selfish one who would want your brother dead to take over his pack,” Simon said in rage.

“How can you prove that I had something to do with that? You were the one clutching your father that night with his b***d all over you, you were the only one in his room with him.” His uncle said with an evil smirk. Everyone seemed to be watching the little drama between Simon and this stranger with no idea of what they were talking about.

“This little chattering is over my dear Lucas, handcuff him.” His uncle ordered as a handcuff was brought but Sabrina stopped them. “What the hell is going on here, why is he calling you Lucas, Simon?” Sabrina asked

“Because____” Simon was going to explain but his uncle chipped in. “I can’t believe that you changed your name to Simon, have you been lying to all these people? You didn’t tell them that you had murdered your own father?” His uncle said.

The gasp between the people around made Simon weak in the legs, he had lived in silence since that very day his father’s trusted guard allowed him escape. This was what he had avoided all his life, “I know that Simon can never hurt a family but can you say that for yourself? Judging for a fact that you would treat your family like an animal shows that you can’t really be trusted.” Sabrina said, making Simon’s eyes almost pop out from their socket.

“He might not have told us his dark past but we all know that he might have had his own reasons for that,” Sabrina muttered, making the rest nod. “Who the hell are you to challenge me with your undesirable words?” Simon’s uncle asked.

“I’m his mate, someone who knows him more than you do.” Sabrina let out.

“I have changed my mind. Take all of them in the pack and put them in the dungeon.” His uncle willed angrily. “Let them all go and I would come with you willingly,” Simon said but his uncle only narrowed his eyes.

“I can’t trust any of your pack members, not even this blabber you have for a mate. What if these people come after my pack after we leave?” His uncle asked.

“Are you scared that we would kill all of you and feed your bones to the dangerous animals of the woods?” Sabrina let out. “You seem to act tough, let’s see if you would act tougher later on,” Simon’s uncle let out.

“It’s me you came for uncle William, you can have me and leave everyone out of this. Moreover, I would ask them not to come, after you or your pack, they sure won’t disobey,” Simon said.

“Fine, I would like to see you make them obey.” His uncle mumbled with a little chuckle evading his lips. Simon wasn’t frightened by his uncle’s chuckle as he cleared his throat before glaring at the little warrior he had left.

“I don’t want any of you to bother about me, I would be fine.” He said and they all replied. “Yes, Alpha.” They said with a bow of respect. His uncle Williams seemed confused and horrified by the respect these people gave his nephew.

“That’s enough authority, for now, take them both.” His uncle ordered as his guards held Sabrina. “I thought you were leaving everyone out of this?” Simon asked, gawking at his uncle. “Nah, I am intrigued by this lard mouth but if you two try to act smart, I might as well just make you both annihilate yourself.” His uncle said threateningly.

“I want to do this alone, I met with your mother Sabrina. She is alive and she is going to help me get back my pack! This was part of our plan to get my uncle here.” Simon Mind-linked Sabrina whose expression showed that he was letting out total bullshit from his mouth.

“I don’t know exactly what you mean but could you cut the crap,” Sabrina mind-linked back.

“I’m serious, your mother Sonia is alive.” Simon mind-linked staring at Sabrina who didn’t say anything as they pushed them away.
