Audrey's voice was cold as ice. "Kieran, if you walk out that door, don't you dare return to this house again!"
Kieran froze.
Audrey turned to Freya and said, "Freya, cook something simple for dinner. I've got to run."
After that, Audrey stood up, went out, and shot Kieran a meaningful glance.
Soon, the Sutton family's living room was left with only Freya and Kieran.
"Why are you just standing there? Aren't you going to start cooking?" Kieran looked at Freya, his eyes showing no respect whatsoever.
"The house is empty, Mr. Sutton. Why put on a show?" Freya retorted, "If you're hungry, maybe just order some takeout."
"You..."
Freya walked to the kitchen to start cooking, ignoring him.
Kieran snorted, "Oh? You're telling me to order takeout while you cook for yourself? If you wanted to leave, why didn't you slip away while Grandma was out?"
"Mr. Sutton, who's being the fool here?" Freya's voice was tinged with sarcasm. "Audrey wanted us to spend time together, locking us in. Seriously, you think she'd let me walk out the Sutton family's door? I bet the front door is locked from the outside; there's no way you can open it."
Hearing it, Kieran, half in doubt, walked to the front door. Sure enough, when he tried the handle, the door was locked from the outside.
After washing her hands, Freya casually took some ingredients from the fridge. "Mr. Sutton, try calling for takeout now. Maybe that'll get someone to open the door."
But when Kieran pulled out his phone, he found no signal, and the house's internet seemed to have been disconnected, too.
Kieran's face darkened.
Seeing his reaction, Freya
indifferently said, "I'm only cooking for myself. Mr. Sutton, you should
try cooking dinner if you are hungry."
"Are you kidding?" Kieran frowned deeply, realizing Audrey had sent away all the household staff. Meanwhile, Freya started making pasta with tomatoes, and soon, the delicious aroma filled the kitchen. Sitting in the living room, Kieran couldn't help but be drawn by the smell. "What are you cooking?"
"Mr. Sutton, this?" Freya pointed at the plate of appetizing pasta with tomatoes. "Just pasta with tomatoes." "Why haven't you made this before?"
"Mr. Sutton, with your taste for exquisite delicacies, how could you appreciate something as simple as pasta with tomatoes?"
With that, Freya picked up her plate. "Anyway, this is for me. I don't think you'd like something as plain as this, right?"

about making a point to Kieran.
As expected, Kieran was visibly annoyed by her actions. "Freya, you're using my family's ingredients."
"So?" Freya shot back.
Kieran sat opposite her, asserting, "So, I'm entitled to a share of that meal."
As Kieran reached for the food, Freya swiftly moved it away, teasingly saying, "Mr. Sutton, if you wanted some, you could've asked. Of course, if you ask nicely, might even cook dinner for you."
