The Bully's Hated Mate
The Bully’s Hated Mate – Chapter 14

LUCIUS’ POV:

“Excuse me?” I asked, feeling Damon prancing and looking at this guy that now stood infront of me with some f*****g nerve.

“Lucius, this is Marcus. Marcus, Lucius.” Cassia said, but I didn’t want to know who this t**t was.

“Who is he to you, Cassia?” I asked.

He snarled a bit, exposing some fangs. Instinctively, I put my arm over Cassia’s shoulder, pulling her closer to me.

Why I did that, I had no clue, but it suddenly felt right and best at the moment. Damon was fuming.

“I’m her best friend, you a*****e.” The thing speaks.

I scoffed at him.

Some nerve he had talking to me, breathing the same air as I was, that she was breathing too. The nerve.

Damon was growling, but I wanted to keep things cool a bit, see where they led to.

“Put a leash on your best friend, Cassia. And I don’t like you having one, especially of the male variety.” I said, tightening my grip on her shoulders.

Cassia turned to look at me, irritation spreading around her face. Her smart mouth about to do what it did best.

“I don’t think you have any right to tell her what she should and shouldn’t have. You’re not the f*****g boss of her, Lucius. You should know that.” Marcus, as he was called, spoke yet again.

I looked at him with an intensity that would normally send whoever flying in the other direction, but he stood rooted at the spot.

It was my turn to get irritated.

“And I don’t see how that is any business of yours. You’re nothing to her. I can smell the pathetic desperation for her oozing off your pores, and I don’t think I like that very much. Marcus, you’re called? Know your f*****g place.” I responded, unintentionally drawing Cassia closer defensively.

Marcus looked at me, and gave a laugh that furrowed my brows even more. I wanted to hear what s**t he had to spill out of his dirty mouth.

“She’s not your property. You don’t own her, and you don’t get to tell her what the f**k she can and can’t do. You should know your own place, cause you clearly mean nothing to Cassia.”

My eyes were blazing. I wasn’t liking this challenge in authority and neither was Damon.

He should be locked up for even looking at Cassia the way he did, and breathing the same air as I am.

It was dishonorable at best.

“I don’t know why the f**k you would keep things like this as friends, Cassia. Are all your friends this effortlessly stupid and pathetic?” I questioned, rolling my eyes dismissively.

Cassia’s face registered shock first before anger. She slapped off my arm that I had over her shoulder with a speed I couldn’t muster.

Then she walked over and stood at Marcus’ side, arms folded, brows furrowed so much it created lines that spread and cornered every part of her face.

“What actually is your problem, Lucius? I don’t get it!” She glowered.

“i don’t have time for this. We have somewhere to be, and it’s f*****g important. Let’s go.” I said, trying to walk away from the situation and forget anything like this was even happening in the first place.

I had moved a good few meters before I realized that she wasn’t near me.

Infact, she had no intentions of following me anywhere.

With great annoyance, I took long strides back to the spot I had just left and, lo and behold, I met her still standing, arms crossed and legs at a dangerous and delicious angle, waiting for me to come back to that exact spot.

“Let’s go. Cassia.” I said through gritted teeth, hoping to goddess that she would know just how much we needed to get the f**k out of here and how much I needed to not see that guy anymore.

“I told you. She’s not going anywhere.” Marcus intercepted on her behalf.

My rage was getting at a good angle already. If I don’t leave here, I would cause bigger problems than the eyes that were beginning to stare at us.

“I didn’t ask for your input, s**t face. Now, get lost. And cassia, let’s f*****g go! Now.” I tried my best not to yell, but I already got the attention of a few more people than I hoped.

But I was getting to the point where I didn’t care and I didn’t want to care.

Things were spiralling out of control already and Cassia, stubborn as always, was bent on frustrating me more than necessary — more than usual.

“You heard him, Lucius. I’m not going anywhere with your rude a*s and besides, didn’t I tell you to stay the f**k away from me earlier today? So, do just that. Stay the f**k away from me.” She replied.

My anger slipped out of my control at that point.

I stepped forward menacingly, trying to intimidate whoever could see me but instead, Marcus snarled and somehow, I found myself growling ferociously infront of him.

He was too damn irritating, and Damon wanted a big part of him in between his teeth. I wanted the same damn thing too.

I’d rip him to pieces for even standing that close to her.

My growls got louder and soon, the music stopped playing, drawing the attention of everyone around us.

I was a second away from turning. Damon was already on the surface, my eyes turning complete gold and my features slowly morphing to that of the untamable beast within me.

Something about someone challenging my dominance made me want to rip their internal organs out, made me want to use them for dinner and feed the leftovers to my crocodiles.

Something about that same someone staking a claim over my mate, however how dreadful she was, even pushed my vision to see red further.

I was feeling every part of my rage building up at such a ferocity. I have never felt this way, not even when I was with Ariadne or the others before her.

Something was insanely different about this one and not just different, it was probably the mate bond.

It was strange, intense, maddening.

Marcus began bowing his head, exposing teeth and while I snarled, my teeth became more and more exposed.

If he didn’t back down anytime soon, goddess knows he wouldn’t be leaving here alive.

Suddenly, I felt a force.

It pushed me away so quick, catching me unaware but not making me stop my snarling.

I looked properly and I saw Cassia standing at the middle of the two of us, holding a hand to my chest.

She was definitely angry, but not as mad as I was.

“Stop! Both of you! And you get lost, Lucius! Right now. I don’t want to go with you. Is that hard to understand?” She shouted.

I spinned her around, creating a bit of wave, and like a bird in flight, she thrown on my shoulders, face backwards and bottom forward.

There was no way I was going to let her disrespect me like that, and in public. Making me fight for dominace like a dog.

Marcus comes infront of me protectively, but my snarling changed to a full growl and with a voice I knew only Damon had, I spoke.

“Don’t f*****g come close. I will eat out your organs and skin your bones for the Hyenas to suck on. Cassia is my mate, and I refuse to be coerced into a fight by the likes of you. She’s mine. Now, get the f**k out of my way before I snap your f*****g neck.”

Marcus licked his lips, even as he still held deep contempt in his eyes, he let me pass.

“Put me down! Put me the f**k down, you f*****g d**k! I am not going anywhere with you!” She screamed, and hit my back.

“Shut the hell up.” I growled, still very much in rage as I lifted my hands and smacked her a*s so hard.

She g*****d, and not in a painful way. She enjoyed the smack.

Even though I was still in a very foul mood, I registered that her scent had changed instantaneously.

Although she was still beating at my back and demanding I let her go this instant, I was acutely aware of her subtle arousal.

Dirty girl.

The show she had caused me to perform with a low life, ended up clearing the room within seconds as I marched with her light form on my shoulders.

As I walked close to the entrance, I knew Marcus was going to utter something.

Time seemed to slow down as my ears picked his peculiar breath.

“Lucius!” He shouted from where he stood.

I turned around, asking myself if this wasn’t a sign from the goddess to get rid of him, at this very moment.

This opportunity that seemed to present itself in different shades and different forms.

I was more than ready to rush at him and sever his head from his body before he could take his next breath.

I began to growl. I was more than ready for this fight.

I just needed one more sign and his b***d would be a new decoration for the walls.

“Don’t f*****g hurt her! Don’t touch her. Do you hear me? If you do, I’ll kill you.” He shouted from his end of the room.

I turned around, a muderous glint in my eyes as I looked at him from head to his toe.

“Not if I kill you first. The next time I catch you ten feet away from her, those ten seconds would be your last. Stay the f**k away from what isn’t yours.”

And like before, I spanked Cassia again, taking my leave and opening the doors that led to the Royal side of the school.

I hated the punk already, and for some unknown reason, I didn’t let Cassia out of my hold.

I gripped her even tighter, knowing fully well I was causing her more discomfort. I didn’t care.

I wasn’t about to start asking her if the ride on my shoulders were to her liking.

No way was I going to let her walk after what I just passed through and infront of seriously poor and low class people.

This was all a part of a punishment that sincerely wasn’t enough for me. Her luck was it was in public and even at that, I was going to show her how much of a shitface I could be.

Me, an Alpha’s son, being challenged by a mere errand boy, a mere omega, a mere t**t!

I was going to make sure that I duly punished Cassia for this, even if it was the last thing I did.

And as I spanked her one more time as she beat against my back, she let out another m**n.

I smirked.

I knew exactly how I was going to punish her, something she would duly feel from the bottom of her stubborn heart and from the corners of her smart annoying mouth.

Next time, she would never disrespect me like she just did.

She was going to be begging me in ways she didn’t expect she ever would.
