The Bully's Hated Mate -
The Bully’s Hated Mate – Chapter 61
LUCIUS’ POV:
I fought my way against these men that held me stronger by the arms with every twist and turn I tried to make .
“Let me go! You assholes!” I shouted to the men but it was as though I was speaking to a brick wall.
They threw me to the floor when we got to the throne room.
“Dad!” Ariadne shouted at her father and from my peripheral vision, I saw him raise his hands up in mockery.
“Leave” he said, finally claiming the air of seriousness as I coughed and whizzed before I got to my seat.
How dare he?
How dare he sit on the throne of a man he murdered in cold b***d? How dare he sit on the throne that should melt every bone in his body?
My teeth ground each other in fury as he threw his leg over one of the chair’s handles and sat as he deemed fit.
“Now. I called you here for a different purpose” he said, his voice in cold tones as he looked at his hands all of a sudden.
He sat up straight and crossed his legs, his hands firmly planted on the skulls that rested on the armchair.
“My daughter. Ariadne” he said and looked to the brat that stood proudly close to him as she smiled at him.
Disgust churned in my stomach as she brought that same sickly smile towards me.
“She has shown a serious interest in you, Lucius. She brought something to my attention that I think would be beneficial to all of us” he shifted out, now resting his hands on his knees as he spoke.
I kept quiet and decided to counterattack when he was done speaking. I wasn’t going to let my anger show.
I controlled my emotions immediately.
He smiled at me sinisterly.
“She said she’s in love with you. Personally, I replace that extremely offensive” he said and shrugged.
Ariadne slapped his shoulder lightly.
“But she’s my daughter and fathers do what is best for their child, and I used to see that you guys had something going on before, so it shouldn’t be hard to continue from where you left off. Don’t you think so?” I knew he wasn’t asking a question, merely telling me.
“I am not going to pick up ‘where we left off’ because there was nothing left” I said, my teeth bared out in the open.
Cedric’s expression changed from cherry to murderous as he stood up slowly.
“You have two options here but first, you should know that the only thing stopping me from casually slitting your throat and feasting on your slut of a mate is her” he said and pointed quite accurately to Ariadne’s direction.
I looked at her suddenly, recalling her saying something about me being thankful to her.
I spat on the ground, my expression dead centered on what I already decided.
Cedric watched me with venomous eyes as he travelled down to where I was, five steps ahead of me, so that he looked down on me.
“You dare.” He said, a snarl escaping his lips.
“You have a choice here, Lucius.” He said, counting the minutes before his next breath.
“You are to choose a side. One side offers you freedom and an end to all of your troubles, and the other path makes sure you get the full and swift aim of my hate for you and your rotting father”
At the mention of my rotting father, I moved towards him, shocked that I was stopped almost immediately.
I was forced to my knees and my chin was forced upwards, caught in the hands of Cedric as his hate for me fueled even more.
“You can choose to eradicate whatever dirty love story was going on between you and that slut. You can choose to pair with a higher breed. You can choose to stop the suffering of the one whose cries you wish you would never in your life hear again. You can choose us.” he said
My eyes widened at what he was saying.
“Yes, Lucius. All of her suffering could end in a swift second” he said, his fangs coming out in a smile.
At that point, he let go of my chin so fast, it drew b***d.
“Or you can decide to be a hero, reject my show of love, protection, care and immunity. You could decide to be a fool and give me the immense pleasure of watching that slut burn first.”
My head bowed against the floor as the tears I had been hanging onto leaked from my eyes in different ways.
“What’s it going to be, boy?” He asked from where he stood.

CASSIA’S POV:
I had woken up to Lucius’ absence from his cage for the second time in a row. One night he was there, his back against the wall and my worry spiking off the roof, and the morning after that, he had vanished.
I had screamed for him all day but nothing I said, nothing I screamed about, made him suddenly reappear out of the blues.
I lay on my back now, my skin quickly healing as this made it the second day that those men paid no visit.
Inwardly, I knew Maya was happy about it but my mind wasn’t concerned about how many bruises I could get from being whipped on a daily basis.
Where was Lucius?
My mind had known no peace since the morning he disappeared and hasn’t come back.
I jumped up and ran straight to the bars in hopes that I would see him as soon as my ears picked the opening and closing of the gates.
Someone was coming downstairs.
But as the footsteps approached, the scent was that of Lucius but the footsteps wasn’t his.
Disappointment graced my features, and just as I had unlikely figured, Ariadne stood facing me, wearing one of my fanciest dresses, only she had redesigned the front, making it sluttier and shorter.
Disgust churned my stomach as my eyes moved from her toes to her head in a quick motion.
“Looking for Lucius?” She suddenly asked me as she looked from his cage to me in a swift motion.
“He’s not here?” She asked again, carrying an obvious mocking tone around.
I quietly looked somewhere else as her presence was causing my mind to create a lot of images where I had her head on a plate.
“I know where he is though. Wanna know?” She asked me suddenly and caught my attention.
“He’s with me now,” she said and laughed .
” Yeah, right” I said mockingly and scoffed.
Who was she trying to fool?
“Wait, you don’t believe me?” Her tone taking an offense.
“Well, if you don’t believe me, ask him…” She said and looked at the cage again before looking at me.
“That’s right. He’s not here though, is he?” She asked again, getting on my nerves.
“Well, he ditched you all.” She said quite frankly and I scoffed even harder
“Lucius would never” I said to her out of spite.
I knew Lucius, and he would never do that.
“Oh, would he now?” She was incredibly surprised by my show of confidence.
“Yet he has, hasn’t he? So many times, infact. I remember a lot of the times though because I planned all of it” she said and smiled big.
“He finally came home to where he belonged — to me. Before you brought your bag of trash and tried to pry us apart with whatever you used. He’s with me now and boy, it’s phenomenal. His k****s, his touch, his d**k in me.” she said, slurring her last words and my eyes blinked way too quickly.
“You’re lying!” I shouted at her, my chest aching already.
“Am I?” She asked again, her hands on her waist.
“I know you’re from the trash but you could at least be smart” she said to me.
“We had the best night of our lives last night. I finally took back what’s mine and I’m glad you didn’t deny the s*x even if you have a habit of destroying everything that isn’t yours that crossed your path” she said again, her sneer evident in her face.
All at once, all of the times Lucius made my life miserable came back to haunt me.
But Lucius would never!
He was different now.
He was.
I told myself, and the familiar smell of Lucius came to my nose.
I looked to Ariadne, she sneered even more and wafted more air towards me.
“How’d you like my new scent? Catchy, isn’t it?” She said and burst into a cackle as she started to walk back to where she came from.
My chest expanded way too quickly and the air was suddenly not enough.
Lucius had just betrayed me.
Yet again.
And it hurt so much.
It hurt worse than anything I ever had to go through.
My legs gave way as I slipped to the floor, Ariadne’s laughter echoing in my head as my eyes tried to blink back the tears that now welled up in my eyes and blurred everything else.
