"Arabella, rest early, you have a flight to catch tomorrow." Noah said gently to the woman.

"Just let me finish reading the last chapter, please." Arabella's voice was gentle with a touch of pouting.

"Okay, this is the last time." Noah rubbed the top of Arabella's head, his tone doting. After closing the bedroom door, he went to the living room to continue his conversation with Nick who had come to the house. Five years had passed since Arabella had left the country. Immediately after leaving the country, Noah arranged for her to be admitted to the hospital for treatment.

The treatment process was so painful that even Arabella, who had great endurance, often thought of giving up in the dark of night.

But when she thought of her parents and child who were killed, Arabella was determined to live and take revenge.

Her perseverance was rewarded with a miracle, and she was successfully cured of brain cancer.

Tomorrow, she would return home with Noah.

"Do you really plan to return home with me?" Nick's voice was so loud that Arabella on the other side of the door could hear it very clearly.

After Arabella's escape, Nick and Emma had more contact because of Arabella. In this year, Emma finally said yes to Nick's proposal and they were going to have their engagement ceremony in the country.

Because of the fear of Arabella being found out by James' family, Emma made it a point to stress to Nick not to request them to return to the country. He was excited and worried at the same time when he heard the news. "Shh, let's talk in the study." Noah lowered his voice and pulled Nick away.

Arabella's mouth quirked up in a somewhat helpless smile as she heard the voices disappear from the doorway.

She put her book down and pulled a packet of papers out of the drawer, full of her designs.

After successfully healing, she continued her previous dream. Although left with the inevitable after-effects, her little finger still often went numb, which made her need to devote more concentration and time when drawing her designs. But this was the greatest gift for Arabella, who came back from the dead.

Not only she became a top jewelry designer in M country, but she also opened a company of her own. Living peacefully with a new identity away from Ezra was once her dream. Although it had now come true, she was still upset at the thought of her parents' deaths. A week ago, news came to Hall's family that Noah's older half-brother had been in a car accident half a month ago and was confined to a wheelchair for the rest of his life. It was at this time that the Hall's family remembered that they had a wandering illegitimate son they could use to force Noah to return home and fight for the family fortune.

Arabella closes her eyes in anticipation.

The next day, the Hall's family estate, the dinner party.

Arabella was taken by the maids to change into her evening dress as soon as she got off the plane. The gown was well cut, reflecting her slender waist and long calves just right. The simple coiled hair just accentuates her small cheeks more exquisite. Arabella looked at the mask in her hand, and after a sigh, she put it on her face.

She knew very well that Ezra would definitely be there tonight. But at least now, it was not the best time for her to meet with Ezra.

"Arabella, the party is about to start."

Noah's voice sounded outside the door.

She placed her hand on Noah's and together they walked to the banquet hall.

There weren't many people invited to the banquet tonight, but it included almost all of the country's famous nobles.

"Now the future successor of our Hall's family is coming towards us."

The host's voice carried through the banquet hall, successfully making Arabella and Noah the focus of everyone's attention.

Ezra likewise looked at the protagonist of this banquet. His pupils tightened violently, and his throat knot rolled involuntarily a few times.

His eyes blazed at the woman beside Noah, narrowing slightly to hide his emotions.

"Is that her? No, it must be my illusion."

Ezra thought to himself as he tried to convince himself of the sudden thought that had surfaced.

Rosie Graham, who was holding Ezra's arm, also saw the pair in the spotlight, and her face went pale, then gradually rose to a blush.

As Arabella's double, she seriously learned everything about Arabella after the facelift. While Ezra thought it was an illusion, she had recognized who the masked one really was.

She stepped forward and blocked Ezra's view before she said petulantly, "Ezra, I lost my earring, can you put it on for me?"

Ezra looked back at the woman with some disgust. He took a step to his left, stepping around Rosie's body and returning his gaze to the woman in the mask once again.

The woman seemed to sense his gaze as well and gave him a quick sweeping glance, and after meeting his eyes, she immediately averted her gaze.

"It's her!" Every cell in Ezra's body screamed, and with just that one glance he was almost certain of what he had just thought.

Arabella's body trembled a little, she overestimated herself, she thought that five years past in seeing Ezra would not have any feelings.

Just now she just looked at him and her body began to tremble uncontrollably.

Noah smiled at Ezra and nodded in greeting, and very naturally placed his hand on Arabella's hand on his arm and patted it.

"Don't be afraid, you see the woman next to him looks more like you than you do, don't you?"

Noah whispered in Arabella's ear in a voice that only the two of them could hear.

Only then did Arabella notice that the owner of the hostile and provocative gaze had a very similar look to her.

A complex emotion filled her heart, not knowing whether to be happy or sad.

Noah, as the heir, needed to follow the elders to get to know the upper class nobles around, and Arabella hid in a dim corner with her wine.

She disliked this kind of party full of falsehoods, and for Noah's sake, she had to force herself to stay until the dinner was over. "Arabella!"

A familiar, low voice called her name.

Arabella subconsciously tried to turn around to look at the source of the voice, and she quickly stopped moving.

It was too late, the person who had eluded Arabella was already approaching.

"Arabella, it really is you, you...... are really not dead, I knew it!"

Ezra's voice was hoarse and his breathing was ragged, and he was obviously very emotional.

Arabella touched the mask on her face somewhat unnaturally and let out a light breath before turning around.

She glanced at Ezra calmly, as if she were looking at a stranger, and she turned sideways to leave.

"Arabella, I know I was wrong, you ......

Ezra was breathing harder and harder, he seemed to have a lot to say.

"Sir, I think you have the wrong person."

Arabella interrupted him and then was about to leave.

She only felt a sudden hollowness on her face, the vision in front of her suddenly became clear, and the mask covering half of her face had been forcibly removed by Ezra. "What are you doing, this is not the place to let people fool around!"

Arabella suppressed the fear of Ezra in her heart, her voice slightly larger rebuked Ezra.

"Arabella, I know it's you. I was such a jerk to you before, it's only right that you don't want to acknowledge me, but can you give me a chance to make it up to you?"

Ezra held Arabella back in the corner, his voice trembled slightly with a hint of pleading.

Arabella lifted her eyes to look earnestly at Ezra's face, at the face that had loved and hated and resented. His eyes were no longer as bright as they had been then, full of red blood, and he looked at her with a blazing and timid look and some fear. The corners of Arabella's mouth suddenly turned up, and the fear and hatred she felt at the sight of Ezra became unimportant in this moment.

"Sir, you are a little old-fashioned in your accosting skills."

"Bella, do you know Mr. James?" Noah smiled as he walked over from the side and stood beside Arabella.

Seemingly on purpose, he stepped between Ezra and Arabella so that Ezra could no longer see Arabella's face and arched his arm waiting for Arabella to take him.

Arabella looked at Noah, blossomed a bright smile, naturally took Noah's arm.

"It is probably because I am rather ordinary looking and this gentleman has mistaken me for someone else." Her voice was clear as she explained what had just happened.

"Ezra, I haven't introduced her to you yet, this is my girlfriend Bella."

Noah introduced Arabella graciously, with special emphasis on the word girlfriend.

The corners of Arabella's mouth stiffened for a moment, which she quickly covered up.

Ezra quickly caught the twitch of Arabella's mouth, and he looked deeply at Arabella for a long time before speaking.

"I'm sorry, I was the wrong person."

Ezra said and turned around and walked away, ignoring the woman who kept calling him from behind.

The smile on the corner of Arabella's mouth quickly dissipated as she watched Ezra leave, and her whole body felt as if her strength had been drained away, saying to Noah, "I'm tired, I'm going back to rest."
