The CEO Wants To Divorce Me -
Chapter 114
Ezra was barely conscious when he returned home.
Fortunately, Nick sensed that his condition was not right, and he purposely followed him, which prevented the stranger from picking him up. When Rosie took Ezra from Nick, her face was pale and her expression was very complicated.
Nick didn't say anything, he had nothing good to say about this substitute.
"Arabella! You are still soft-hearted after all! I knew it!"
Ezra's hoarse voice could not hide his excitement.
He blinked hard, trying to see if the person coming was the one he had in mind.
Rosie's face turned even harder when she heard Arabella's name, and the hand that wanted to hold Ezra hesitated for a moment.
Ezra's nose wrinkled slightly, as if he smelled something nasty, and he instantly pushed Rosie away.
"Get away! You're not Arabella! She's already back, and there's no point in you staying here as a double!"
His body was still shaking, his tone was extraordinarily firm, and there was no mercy in what he said to the woman in front of him.
Rosie's whole body froze, she froze for two seconds, her eyes were red and she turned and ran away.
Nick glanced indifferently at the woman running away and said to the man he was supporting, "People are gone, don't pretend."
Ezra's body, which was weak just now, immediately tensed up, he stood up straight and coughed lightly with some embarrassment, and his eyes did not look at Nick and said, "It's already late, you should go back too."
Nick took a serious look at Ezra, the corners of his mouth quirked, and finally he turned around with a sigh and walked away.
He watched Ezra enter the door before he said lightly, "Why make things difficult for yourself and for Arabella, it was fine before."
Ezra closed the door and leaned alone behind the door, his look forlorn, with a bitter smile at the corner of his mouth.
Arabella had returned, a double, should not have continued to exist in his side, so many years of dream finally came true.
Until now Ezra was still a little scared, worried that everything he had experienced in the past two days was just a dream of his.
As he grieved, he once again caught a whiff of Rosie's scent, if any, in the villa.
She always liked to cover the whole villa with roses, and even her body smelled of roses.
Arabella was allergic to roses!
Ezra's first reaction to the smell of roses was to replace a way to get rid of all the roses in the villa, so that the smell of roses would disappear in this villa from now on. "Housekeeper!" Ezra bellowed.
He had to get rid of all these smells now, immediately, right away!
Damn it, he didn't even know that Arabella was allergic to roses before.
But there was a large bed of roses in the garden that Arabella had planted herself years ago. He had eradicated it all that year, and the next year Arabella planted a large one again.
She said it was a wedding anniversary gift for him to stay with them for a long time, just like their relationship could last forever.
Why did it change after five years?
When did Arabella become allergic to roses?
It was surprising that he knew nothing about Arabella now, not even that she was already a top jewelry designer who resounded around the world.
All the maids, under the command of the housekeeper, began to clean the villa in all aspects in the middle of the night.
After Rosie ran away from the villa, she drove all the way to Andrew's apartment.
Andrew opened the door and saw the woman who appeared at the door, he froze for a moment before asking questions. He had impatience in his brow and glanced around toward the door of the room. "You're not with Ezra, why did you come to see me?"
"Don't check, there's no one following, and he won't be in the mood for my actions right now."
Rosie pushed Andrew through the door, the words that came out pervaded with bitterness.
From the moment Andrew found her and took her to get a facelift and a new face, she knew perfectly well that she was nothing more than a human substitute. She would always be able to live only under a shadow, unable to come out of it to appear in front of the "What's going on?" Andrew asked with a slight frown and a rather bad tone.
sun.
Since he had sent Rosie to Ezra, he had never met with Rosie again to avoid suspicion. He had a middleman to pass on the news, and he was very unhappy that Rosie had rushed in like this. Andrew did not notice Rosie's change of mood, as a superior he did not care about the feelings of his pawn.
"Arabella is back!" Rosie didn't talk nonsense, and directly said the latest news.
"Who are you talking about? Isn't she dead? Could it be another double sent by someone?" Andrew's brow furrowed, still reeling from the news that Arabella had come back from the dead. "I saw it with my own eyes at the Hall's family dinner, and Ezra was acting very erratically!"
The bitterness in Rosie's voice intensified. In all the time she had been by Ezra's side, she had never seen him look as shocked as he did then, much less as out of sorts as he did tonight. "Impossible, I saw that woman jump into the sea with my own eyes, maybe it was just a substitute Noah picked."
Andrew analyzed the chances of Arabella's survival and the possible scenarios. He turned to Rosie as if remembering something and said, "What are you still doing here, why don't you go back to Ezra!" "On the way here, the maid I bribed told me that all my stuff was thrown out by Ezra."
It wasn't that she didn't want to go back, but there was no place for her around that man anymore.
"Simple, just get rid of that woman by Noah's side, you go back first."
Andrew sent Rosie away with a few simple words, he started to re-investigate what happened to Arabella back then, he needed to re-formulate the countermeasures against Ezra.
Before he could come up with a countermeasure, something even more unexpected happened.
Noah's ability to get things done since he inherited Hall's family has to be said to have risen exponentially.
Arabella originally planned to spend a month planning the opening ceremony of the new company, but Noah used the family's resources to solve all the problems of the new store opening in just one week. When Arabella first saw the finished store, she covered her mouth with her hands to keep herself from screaming.
The decor was a near-identical replica of the flagship store she had in the M country at the time.
"I actually started preparing for this store after I found out I was going back to our country. You will return to our country eventually, and I want to treat this as a gift for your return." Noah said softly as he stood behind Arabella at some point, he smiled and looked at Arabella.
Arabella was surprised, she didn't know how to describe Noah's deep love for her. She was even more surprised that he started to help her plan the opening of the store so early. Seeing Arabella's eyes slightly red with excitement, Noah unexpectedly felt a little shy. He blushed and turned his head away, asking softly, "Do you like this gift?" "Yes, of course I do! Noah, it's good to have you!"
Noah, it's so nice to have you!" Arabella then slowed down to speak excitedly, tears in her eyes could no longer be hidden from the corners of her eyes.
"Is that enough to make you cry? When you see my gift, you're not going to give your life to me, are you?"
Nick appeared behind the two of them and teased Arabella, he glanced at Emma beside him and added, "I am a married man, I advise you to give up this idea." "Who said I'm going to marry you? You people just know nonsense!"
Emma's clenched fist still lifted heavily and landed gently on Nick's body.
"Okay, I know you two are in love, don't show off in front of me. And I'm the star of the show today, right!"
Arabella smiled lightly and gave a supercilious look at the two people behind her, her tone slightly dissatisfied.
Within a few days of returning to her country, she had already had enough of these love shows, they really couldn't end it without getting married.
"Let's not talk about the two of us, what exactly are you and Noah planning?"
Nick glanced at Noah as he stepped forward to ask after Arabella.
"Well no more fooling around, the guests are almost here, don't forget the business of the day."
Arabella collected her smile and smiled slightly at a few people before turning around and walking into the store to pull out her speech.
Nick shrugged at Noah, saying he couldn't help. No one could wake up someone who was pretending to be asleep.
Arabella deliberately avoided emotional issues, and there was nothing any of them could do to force her to accept Noah's love.
"It's okay, I'll wait for the day she looks back at me, let's get ready too."
Noah said softly with a faint smile, his tone with a clear sense of helplessness.
Today was the day Arabella's first domestic jewelry store opened.
Arabella looked at the word Secret on the store's header, and her heart was filled with emotion as she remembered how empty it was when she opened her first store in the M country.
This time, Noah, Nick and Emma had called their friends to support the opening, and she was even more grateful to them than before.
Arabella was wearing a long navy blue velvet dress, which Noah had asked the best master of Hall's family to make for her, the simple cut of which perfectly reflected her beautiful figure. The long hair was coiled up and fell in the ears with just the right curvature, and her whole body exuded a different kind of mature beauty.
On her white swan neck was a sapphire necklace in the shape of a cat's eye, one of Arabella's best designs and one of her most prized possessions.
The stone brought a touch of seduction to her gentle demeanor.
This was what made Arabella's jewelry so popular, always adding a touch of contradiction to the wearer's temperament, yet blending in perfectly with the wearer without feeling out of place.
"Thank you very much for your attendance, today is the official opening of the first Secret in Z country!"
Arabella stood on the stage and spoke confidently, and greeted her three friends to cut the ribbon together.
She was so absorbed in her joy that she didn't notice that there was a pair of eyes staring at her every move with the hottest gaze. When Noah stood beside her, those eyes were instantly filled with a cold, murderous intent.
Ezra was standing in the most inconspicuous corner, and not many people noticed his arrival. He had planned to appear with great fanfare and make Arabella follow him with a condescending gesture.
When he saw Arabella, dressed in a long blue dress, speaking on stage, his world suddenly became quiet. All the people and things all disappeared, only the mannish person in a beam of light emitting endless charm.
Ezra hesitated as he finally realized that Arabella was no longer the woman who lived off of him, but had transformed into a beautiful and proud butterfly.
And he did not dare to touch her.
