Bar.

This is the sixth drink Ezra has had tonight.

Ezra sat disheveled on the couch as he poured himself glass after glass of wine, despite the woman beside him.

For some reason, he hadn't been very excited after coming out of the hospital.

He had intended to take Beth Ruth straight home, but instead ghosted his car to the front of the bar.

The inexplicable boredom and emptiness in the man's heart could not dissipate for a long time.

It was just an unformed child, and getting Arabella to abort the baby was something he had promised Beth a long time ago.

This sudden accident had saved him a lot of trouble, just enough to keep the woman's delusions of grandeur at bay.

Ezra paused, suddenly tilting his head and taking another stiff drink.

The wine was good, except that he inexplicably thought of Arabella.

The girl's hate-soaked eyes and bloodless face kept coming back to him.

"Ezra, you can't drink any more!"

Beth Ruth suddenly tightened her grip on the man's wrist.

"Ezra, are you so upset because your sister's baby is gone?" Beth Ruth wrapped her arms around Ezra and stared at the man somewhat searchingly. He's been distracted since he got out of the hospital, and now he's actually coming to the bar and drinking heavily.

He knew he had a so-called "heart condition" and couldn't stand the smell of alcohol, and he didn't do anything to stop himself from following him in! He didn't used to be like this!

She couldn't contain her anxiety, and with a low tremor in her voice, she said to the somewhat drunken man, "If you want a baby, I can give you one!"

"It's not good for you to lose your sister's baby......" Beth Ruth said, taking the man's hand and bringing it towards her chest, "Then we'll conceive another baby tonight, okay?"

Ezra looked at the woman in a bit of a trance, his eyes out of focus, only feeling her mouth keep moving but unable to hear anything.

Ryoga finally responded, and the man suddenly leaned toward Beth Ruth of his own accord.

Beth Ruth's heart fluttered with joy and had just wrapped her arms around the man's waist when Ezra suddenly spat right into her. "Ezra!"

Beth Ruth screamed as she pushed him away, disgusted at the vomit on her body, only to realize that Ezra was completely drunk. Looking at the man who had passed out, Beth Ruth frowned.

She cursed under her breath and kicked the couch beside her impatiently.

Obviously Arabella's miscarriage is good news, but today Ezra looks like he's been possessed and got himself into this state .......

Beth Ruth's eyes rolled as if she thought of something, and a smug look finally crept onto her face.

"Well, since you've been refusing to sleep with me, will you still admit it after I take the initiative!"

The woman hooked her lips, hailed the restaurant manager for a car, and took the man straight back to his place.

Looking at the man lying unconscious on the bed, Beth Ruth gritted her teeth as if she had made up her mind of some sort. After half a moment, she suddenly leaned forward and reached up to undo the man's clothes........ The next day.

Ezra slowly opened his eyes, his head hurting like it was about to split open. He raised a hand to press his temples, his remaining light darkly surveying the scene around him.

Is this...... Beth's room?

I think he was drunk last night?

How did you get back but don't remember much.......

Ezra frowned slightly and was about to sit up when a white arm suddenly wrapped around his waist and a hazy soft female voice sounded at his side, "Ezra, you're awake!"

Ezra lowered his head, his arm unconsciously touched a smooth and tender piece of skin, his whole body stiffened for a moment, a hint of surprise appeared in his eyes, "Beth, you ....."

The woman hummed softly, as if pampered, and her soft, boneless body pressed up, intimately.

The man's voice came to a screeching halt.

It was then he noticed that the room's floor was scattered with clothes and an ambiguous aura seemed to permeate the air. The woman in his arms looked at him with a shy expression, a small patch of dark red on her collarbone and neck that stood out against her white skin.

Everything seemed to manifest what had happened last night.

Ezra's intense dark eyes darkened and he abruptly pushed the woman next to him away, "Beth, last night......"

Beth Ruth hung her head with a half-shy look and whispered, "Ezra, you drank too much last night and wouldn't let go of me and, and...... made me hurt!"

At the end of his sentence, he looked up and gave the man a red-faced, darting glare.

Ezra raised a hand and rubbed his brow, not speaking for a moment.

Why this is so......

Obviously he promised before to take care of her and never touch her before the divorce.

I can't believe I drank last night......

When the man didn't say anything for a long time, Beth Ruth's eyes flashed with resignation and she spoke cautiously, "Ezra, did I do something wrong?"

Ezra looked back and took her shoulders with some guilt, his thin lips pressed soothingly against her forehead, "I'm sorry Beth, I did wrong last night. Don't worry, I'll be responsible for you. When I divorce Arabella, I will marry you in style."

Beth Ruth lowered her eyes shyly, quickly hiding the smugness and calculation underneath them.

Sure enough, even after three years away from Ezra, she still knew the man like the back of her hand.

"It's okay, all I have is Ezra your ..... whatever you do to me, I'm willing!"

The woman's gaze was tender and loving, like a lovesick but unrequited infatuation.

Ezra couldn't help but feel a bit of pity and kissed her down on the forehead.

It was getting late, and Lu had a long list of things waiting for Ezra to take care of. He didn't linger much and simply instructed Beth Ruth to get up and leave after a few words.

Standing at the floor-to-ceiling window on the second floor, Beth Ruth watched as the man's car drove completely out of sight before she hooked her lips in triumph.

She knows Ezra too well, he's probably going to divorce Arabella soon now that he's sleeping with her ......

Beth Ruth was in a good mood and slowly made her way down the stairs.

Suddenly the doorbell rang, but the cottage maid had long since been shooed away from her, and Beth Ruth had to answer the door herself; however, when she opened it and saw the man standing outside, she turned pale.
