Ezra's expression turned grim as he glared at Arabella, his eyes seeming to carry a murderous aura:"Arabella,as I told you,don't challenge my bottom line over and over again.I don't need you to teach me how to do things!" Arabella was not intimidated,and looked straight at him without flinching.

The two people just stared at each other,and it seemed that the air around them became icy cold.

Ezra looked at the strange woman in front of him and suddenly had a moment of sway in his heart.

Even after so many years of marriage, even if he knows what she has done?He couldn't help but ask himself,did he really see through this woman?Or was everything as she said a sham and the Ruth Family was set up by someone else? But this thought only appeared in his mind for a moment and was quickly denied by him.

Ezra,come to your senses!How is that possible?All the evidence points to the Ruth Family,and Arabella ordered Jack Smith to r**e Beth,which Beth said herself,and how could Beth,who is so soft and kind,cheat on you?

The two looked at each other for a moment, Arabella withdrew her gaze and said expressionlessly,"Breakfast is ready,you and Beth can go downstairs to eat."

With those words, Arabell turned and walked into his room,closing the door behind him.

Ezra thought of the two of them last night,and then looked at Arabella's cold and frosty appearance this morning,his heart suddenly seemed to be blocked by something.He quickly went after her,kicked open Arabella's door and sternly shouted,"Arabella,what do you mean?"

Arabella asked,confused, "What?"

"You really poisoned your breakfast so you didn't dare to eat it yourself,didn't you?"

When she heard Ezra say that,Arabella stared at him blankly,then giggled.

She laughed while pointing at Ezra and said, "Ezra,l replace you have a really rich imagination,in that case, we'll eat together."

She walked out of the room and went straight to knock on Beth's door," Beth you come out!"

In fact, Beth had been eavesdropping from behind the door,and when she heard Arabella calling her,she hurriedly opened the door and walked out.

Beth put on a panicked look," Sister, what are you calling me for?"

Arabella looked at her coldly," Your brother-in-law asked you to have dinner with us!"

After saying this,she turned around and walked towards the stairs.

Ezra froze,the words"your brother-in-law"sounded so ironic, he wanted to grab Arabella and reprimand her severely, but looking at her thin back, he hesitated. The three men went downstairs and sat down at the dining table.

The butler looked surprised to see the three of them actually appear at the same time.

"Ma'am,what is this......?"

Arabella sneered,"Ezra is afraid that I will poison the rice,so he invited me to have breakfast with his mistress, butler,go and bring up the food."

Hearing Arabella call herself mistress, Beth glared at her. But as she looked back at Ezra,she immediately changed her face to one of resignation again.

She took Ezra's hand as if she was pouting,"Ezra,listen to what sister is saying.Didn't you ask me to come home to recuperate from my illness?You also know that my heart is not strong enough to withstand stimulation,and you said that sister should serve me, but I have been staying for so many days,when has sister ever taken care of me?She only sarcastically pokes me with harsh words,even at night......"

Speaking of which, Beth's face flushed and she looked at Ezra sulkily.

Ezra glared at Arabella,"What are you still sitting there for?Not going to the kitchen to serve the food!"

Arabella grunted coldly,stood up and walked into the kitchen and brought out the meal with the housekeeper.

She didn't even say hello,she just picked up a spoon and tasted each dish,then said to Ezra,"Now can you eat with confidence?"

After saying that she threw the spoon on the table and turned around and went upstairs.

Hearing the sound of the door slamming upstairs, Ezra slapped the table in anger,"f**k!She thinks I don't dare to do anything to her?"

"Maybe so,my sister is always so sightless....." Beth added in a small voice,she wanted to say more bad things about Arabella but was interrupted by Ezra grumpily. "Eat,leave her alone!"

It's better to starve her to death!

For the next few days,Arabella locked herself in her room whenever Ezra and Beth were home.

At first Ezra asked the housekeeper to call her for dinner,but she did not respond,and the housekeeper knocked on the door to no avail.

Until one day, Ezra couldn't sit still,worried that he had starved himself to death in the room and kicked the door straight open.

Arabella lay motionless in her pajamas,as if dead.

Ezra walked over and pulled her up,asking in a stern voice," Arabella,do you want to die?"

Arabella gave him a soft look and laughed somewhat mockingly, "Yeah, I'm waiting for the verdict. Don't worry,as soon as my father is sentenced to life imprisonment,I'll jump off this building.By then,you won't have to bother divorcing me,and you can be with Beth in name only." Ezra froze for a moment,and then angrily grabbed her collar:"Fine!I'll see if you have the guts to jump down then!"

With that, he threw Arabella onto the bed and turned to leave.

Looking at his back as he left,a mocking smile appeared on Arabella's face.

Ezra he thought she was afraid to jump......

Time flies,and the day of the second trial is upon us.

Arabella woke up early,got out of bed,went into the bathroom and cleaned herself from head to toe,as if she was performing some sacred ritual.

After taking a shower,she sat down at the dresser again and began to put on her makeup and dress up.

She wanted to look her best when she went to see her dad.

As Arabella walks out of the room with her bag,she sees the door to Ezra's study open.She pauses in her tracks for a moment,then turns toward the study. "Ezra,today is the day of my father's second trial, won't you go?"

At the sound of his voice, Ezra looked up,a glint of obvious amazement in his eyes.

Arabella has not been dressed up for a long time,this time she is a gloomy look,look people do not like up.Today,she tied up her long hair that she usually wears loose, revealing her long and white neck.Although her face is still a bit haggard, but with and red lips,but somehow there is a morbid beauty.

She was wearing a white dress with a brown trench coat outside,carrying a bag of the same color in her hand. Her body exudes an indescribable cool elegance.

Ezra looked away for a few seconds before withdrawing his gaze and said in a light voice," The second trial is at 10 a.m.It's only 8:30 a.m.I don't need to go that early."

"So I can go?"Arabella said with an expressionless face.

"Where are you going?"

"If I said I wanted to go ahead and see my father,would you agree?"

Ezra laughed as he stood up and slowly said,"So you're begging me now?"

"Sort of,Ezra,I beg you."Arabella's tone was flat,without any ups and downs,and it didn't sound like she was begging at all.

Ezra stared into Arabella's eyes,with more than a little anger in her heart for no apparent reason.

This is the attitude she begged him with? But if she could lower her posture a little, he might have agreed to her request!

Thinking of this, Ezr face sank,sternly shouted:"No,you go back to your room now,I will call you when we leave later!"

Arabella took a deep breath and tried to keep herself calm:"Ezra,I don't know how many more chances I will have to meet my father in the future,just such a small request,why do you want......."

Before Arabella could finish her sentence she was interrupted by Ezra grumpily,"No,I said no!Go back to your room right now or you will never see your father again!"

Arabella looked at him for a moment and finally turned around resignedly and went into the room.

She can't piss off Ezra just yet,or she may never see her father again........

Seeing Arabella enter the room, Ezra then sat back in his chair and proceeded to read the information in his hand.

However, he couldn't read a word of it.His mind was filled with Arabella's eyes full of resentment.

She seems to hate him more and more now.......

Ezra sat in his study for over an hour,and when he saw that it was about time, he put down the information he was holding and got up to knock on Arabella's door:"Arabella,if you don't want to miss your father's trial,come out now!"

As soon as the words left her mouth, Arabella opened the door and walked out.She didn't even look at Ezra and walked straight downstairs.

Ezra was a little upset at being so nakedly ignored, and he was about to go after him,when, however,the door to Beth's room came at that moment.

Beth walked out in a pink dress with delicate makeup on her face and smiled shyly at Ezra:"Ezra,can I come with you?"

Ezra frowned and didn't say anything.

"Ezra,although Aden did something wrong to your James Family,but he is my adoptive father after all, I want to go to see him,is it okay?" Beth explained in a hurry.

Ezra sighed and went up and hugged Beth:"Beth,you are always so kind, if the Ruth family could be half as kind as you are,I wouldn't.......

Ezra shook his head, leaving the rest of his words unspoken.

"It's really unexpected that our Ruth Family would come to this point today,if everything could start again from the beginning,I would definitely stop Mr.Ruth from making a mistake.I also will definitely not come back to disturb you and your sister's life,as long as you can be happy,l am willing to bless you......"

Ezra cupped Beth's face and kissed her on the lips,"Beth,don't say that,you are the person I love most in this world. Don't worry, even if your Ruth Family is gone,I will still take good care of you in the future."

Beth stood on her tiptoes and kissed Ezra back,"Ezra,thank you for taking me in,let's go down and not keep my sister waiting."

Ezra tenderly put his arm around Beth's shoulders and the two of them went downstairs together.
