In the days that followed, Arabella,after waiting anxiously, finally received a call from Noah, bringing the news that the lawyer wanted to meet with her.

After Ezra leaves the house, Beth uses a ruse to call off the caretaker of the heroine, as she did last time.

The heroine left the villa as she wished and went to the cafe to meet Noah.

When Arabella arrived at the cafe she had agreed to meet Noah, Noah was already waiting for her.

Beside him sat a mature male in a suit and neatly coiffed hair.

Arabella guessed that this was probably Noah's classmate, the lawyer who was about to introduce her to him.

Arabella gave Noah a grateful look before taking her seat.

Noah pointed to the man next to him and said to Arabella," This is Charles, a good friend from my college days,I told him about your situation and he's willing to take on the case." Arabella restrained her inner excitement and politely extended her hand towards Charle:"Hello,nice to meet you.Thank you very much for taking over my case."

"Hello,Miss Mistress."Charles also gently returned Arabella's handshake and said very politely,"Since we don't have much time, let's talk about this case without further ado.Please also inform me of your claim,and the evidence you now have in hand, Miss Arabella,and I will ask more questions about the details."

In fact, Charles arranged this meeting mainly because he wanted to know more details from talking with the person concerned.

As for the evidence, and some of the photos that Arabella provided of domestic abuse and such,Charles had already looked at them from the file Noah provided before he came.

She forced down her excitement and thanked Charles, "Thank you so much indeed."

Charles smiled and waved his hand, looked at Noah beside him and said,"You don't have to be polite to me,Noah and I were good friends in college, it's only right that I help his friends."

The meeting went very smoothly and with Charles'affirmation and support, Arabella's mind and body were greatly relaxed and her pace was much lighter.

When Arabella rushed home, Ezra wasn't home yet,and she let out a long sigh of relief.

Beth stepped briskly into the room and watched Arabella close the door behind her as she smiled de sly,smug smile and said,"How did it go?Did your lawyer's meeting go well?" Arabella's face was expressionless as she responded," It was okay."

"What did the lawyer say?"Beth's eyes kept scanning over Arabella's body,trying to discern more information from her expressions and movements.

Arabella did not directly answer Beth's question, but slowly walked to the dresser,sat down and removed all the headpieces before speaking:"The lawyer looked at the evidence and said that the probability of winning the case was high."

Beth stood by the wall with her back against it and her arms crossed over her chest,the smile on her face grew even wider when she heard the heroine's words," Arabella, bless you with an early and successful divorce and an early exit from this abyss." Arabella gave her a cold look:"You really want me to leave this villa soon,don't you? Don't worry,as soon as I win the case and the court documents come,I will leave this villa and Ezra's side,now you will be happy,right?"

"Oh,in that case, I'll leave you to rest and wish you success soon!"Beth threw a flying kiss to Arabella and left the room cheerfully.

Arabella stared at Beth's closed door for a long time.

Meanwhile, Ezra was sitting in his office, working on a large pile of business.

There was no rest for several hours in a row.

Ezra,who had just gotten a moment's rest,heard another report from his assistant," Ezra,there's a lawyer for you."

Ezra frowned with a very unhappy expression,"What case does the company need me to take care of?"

"He said it was a case related to your wife,should he come in?"

In came a handsome looking man in his 30's,dressed in a suit,neatly groomed and exuding the aura of a successful man.

It was Charles.

He walked to the desk and politely extended his hand towards Ezra,"Hello Mr.James,I am Charles, I represent Miss Arabella to file a divorce petition to you, here is the divorce agreement,if Mr.James agrees,you can sign it,if not,we will sue you through legal means." Ezra sat in his chair and looked at Charles with cold eyes, without any intention of reaching out to shake Charles'hand.

Charles was overwhelmed by Ezra's aura and lost some panic in his heart.

He had heard of Ezra's reputation for thunder and lightning,and he thought he was well prepared, but when he actually faced Ezra, he still couldn't help but be nervous.

Charles licked his lips,withdrew his hand awkwardly,coughed lightly,and then said, "I think Mr.James you don't want to go that far,right?If it goes to court,your divorce case with Miss Arabella will definitely be covered by reporters from major media,and I don't think it will be good for the reputation of your company and the James Family."

Ezra slightly narrowed his eyes, his eyes cold and gloomy, even with a few killing intent,as if the next second will be able to cut Charles.

Charles looked at the man with a terrible aura in front of him,couldn't help but swallow and said with a strong sense of composure,"In that case, we have to file a lawsuit in court,please wait for the court summons!"

After saying this,Charles did not look at Ezra one more time and walked out of the office with a big stride.

Ezra was so angry that he swept everything off the table and onto the floor.

Looking at the pieces of paper on the ground, Ezra's heart grew even angrier.

Ezra slammed his hand against the glass of the floor-to-ceiling window in annoyance,making a loud noise.

The sound in the office startled the assistant waiting outside,who stood at the door with some fear and did not dare to come in directly.
