The CEO's Lovely Twins
Chapter 59 Tear Her Mouth Apart

"Alright, I'll stop bothering the both of you."

A sound was heard when the chair rubbed against the floor as Harrison stood up suddenly. He smiled and looked at Hayden.

"Hayden, do come to my place and play when you are free. I'll arrange someone to handle things about the wedding. You can directly contact me if anything happens."

In fact, Hayden had a lot to tell, but in that instance, she couldn't say a word. She stared at Harrison's back as he left, leaving her and Joseph staring at each other. "I'll send you back."

After the dinner, Joseph took the initiative to send her home. Hayden was not willing to do so, but she wanted to clarify about what had happened today. She felt uneasy to talk about it when the servants were around and inside the car will be a good spot to talk about it. Hence, she did not reject his request.

As the car drove out of the mansion area, the atmosphere in the car still remained dull and boring.

Hayden lowered her head, staring at her handphone. She was swiping Weibo (micro-blog), but she did not focus on the content at all.

"Should I turn right at the next exit?"

Joseph's voice suddenly came into her ears as he asked casually.

Hayden froze for a few seconds and then she nodded, "Yes."

The car stopped in front of a red light before turning into the exit. The red light had 60 seconds left before it would turn green. Joseph's slender fingers were gripping on the steering wheel, his right index finger was tapping on it unrhythmically.

Suddenly, he asked, "I have something to ask you about what had happened last night."

Hayden felt like the touch was still lingering in her hands. He couldn't help to compare her with the girl he met six years ago. The feeling was too familiar, which he could not forget till now. "Last night."

Hayden's body turned stiff. She grasped her fingers and spoke stiffly, "There's nothing to worry about last night."

Joseph's fingers stopped tapping on the wheel.

"Erm." Hayden sniffed and pretended to be okay about it.

"We are drunk last night, and we are grown-ups now. Don't take it too seriously. I also know that you are getting married with Viola, so you don't need to feel uneasy about this. I, I wouldn't want you to be responsible about anything, I'm not that kind of person."

Joseph tightened his grip so hard that a hollow appeared on the leather cover of the wheel. His face was still expressionless, but his tone turned cold suddenly.

"Get out of the car."

"What?"

"Didn't you just said that you don't need me to be responsible about anything? To avoid others from any misunderstanding, you can leave the car now."

Anger could be slightly felt from his cold voice and his voice echoed in the car.

Hayden finally sobered up.

She held her bag and stood beside the road, watching Joseph's car leaving without any hesitation. Finally, all the expression and attitude she disguised collapsed, she stopped pretending to be okay about it. She sat down in the corner of the flower bed like a deflated balloon.

Why were all these things happening?

"What? She stayed overnight in Imperial Villa?"

In the dressing room at the backstage of the show, Viola turned around suddenly to look at her assistant behind her. Her face was full of disbelief.

The make-up artist was also shocked by her sudden action and the lip brush on her hand slipped across Viola's lips, leaving a long stretch of red lipstick mark on it. She immediately apologized, "Sorry, I didn't mean it..."

Viola snatched the brush in the make-up artist's hand and threw it roughly onto the ground. She scolded, "Where did you come from? You don't even know how to do make-up, are you tired of your job?" Jason, the manager, saw this scene and quickly reacted to comfort Viola while signaling the make-up artist to leave the room. The make-up artist gritted her teeth and then left the room with a sorrow look on her face.

"Viola, you need to attend a show later. Please control your temper and get your make-up done."

"To attend what show?"

Viola glared at Jason, feeling furious.

"Didn't you hear what Millie said? Last night, the girl named Hayden Downey had spent a night in Imperial Villa! She was there right after I left the place. Moreover, it was Joseph that personally carried her back. A man and a woman stayed together all alone. If you said nothing had happened between them, I wouldn't believe it at all!"

"Didn't you also go there last night?"

Jason was a little puzzled when he mentioned this, "Why did you came back afterwards?"

"Speaking of this, I can't wait to tear that woman apart!" Viola slammed hard on the dressing table. Her face looked grim.

"Last night, the woman in Joseph's house was so arrogant! That woman knew who I am, but she still dared to blurt out that Joseph is just treating me like a toy. If I meet her one more time, I'll definitely tear her mouth apart!"

Jason couldn't differentiate which woman was which in Viola's story. He took a glance at his watch and hurriedly urged, "No matter what woman had got into your way, can you please sit down and complete your make-up? It's almost time to attend the show. Yesterday, you left the scene so abruptly and we had to apologize and bear the lost for you."

Viola tightened her fist, knowing that no matter how mad she was, what was done was already done. There was no point going back now. Hence, she could only settle her work first and deal with Hayden later. That woman had already given birth to a daughter, but she was still able to seduce men. That woman was never as simple as she appeared, so she was right to be wary from the start.

In the CEO's office of ST Group headquarter, Joseph came back from a morning meeting.

Magnus reported the progress of the centennial celebration and asked,

"We can officially start the set up next Monday, but Ms. Downey suggested to set up the venue during the day, but this would definitely lead to a decline in the performance of the ST Hotel. I'm afraid there will be complaints from the guests due to interruption. With that, should we consider asking Ms. Downey to set up at night instead?"

"No need."

Joseph slightly lifted his left hand and moved his fingers.

"If the set up is done at night and interrupts the guests, we will only receive more complaints. She is right to arrange the work to be done during the day. Moreover, the lobby can be set up according to different areas during the day. The impact won't be too great, so just leave it to her. You just need to report the progress on time."

"Alright."

Only then, Magnus finally understand Hayden's intention of arranging the set up during the day. This made him admire and respect her a little more.

"By the way, I've something to ask you."

"Just say."

Joseph's eyes sank a little.

"The girl who was a surrogate six years ago, where is she now?"

"Surrogate?"

Magnus was slightly stunned, not knowing why Joseph would suddenly bring up such an old story. He hesitated for a moment and said respectfully, "In Austria. Back then, her father still died of cancer shortly after she took the money. According to Caesar's instructions, she was sent to the airport, sent to Austria to study abroad. Then, she finished her studies three years ago and married to a Chinese expatriate there."

"That detailed?"

"After all, she is the young master's birth mother. Just in case you asked about it someday, so I've been keeping an eye on it.”

Magnus was a little apprehensive. Joseph had not instructed him to do so, but he had been working with him for seven years. Naturally, he was used to doing things with more consideration.

Joseph did not suspect anything from his words because Magnus had been by his side as an assistant since the day he took over ST Group. Moreover, Magnus was the one who was responsible for the arrangement of the surrogate girl together with the butler Caesar. Hence, if there was anything wrong with the surrogate girl back then, Magnus would surely tell him unless Magnus didn't know about it at all. Hence, the only person who knew the inside story would be Caesar.

Joseph felt more and more suspicious about the fact that Caesar had suddenly resigned and retired after sending Noah to his side.

"Go to Nanxi Town and replace the old steward and bring him to me. I have something to ask him."
