The CEO’S Unplanned Heir novel (Aurelia and Leopold) -
Chapter 336
Chapter 336
The moment Lizzy laid eyes on Leopold, she was crazy about him.
"Hey, I'm Lizzy, Lisa's younger sister. Looks like we're going to be family.” She flicked her shoulder—length curls and greeted him with a smile.
Leopold, however, was cold.
"We're heading upstairs now.” With a detached tone, he wrapped an arm around Aurelia andheaded for the elevator.
Aurelia could tell that Lizzy had a crush on him. Leopold was too striking, dangerously charming, awalking temptation that could lead any woman astray.
Lizzy felt a chill in her heart because she was the sweetheart in Freysland, with a beautiful face and ahot body. Men usually tripped over themselves to get her attention, and yet, Leopold didn’t evenspare her a glance.
Elowen, who was always observant, could easily read her mind. She was itching to get rid of Aureliabut was also worried about creating an opportunity for others. If someone else was willing to takethe fall, well, that would be just perfect.
“You might as well save your energy. As long as Aurelia is around, Leopold won't give anyone else asecond glance.”
Lizzy hummed in her mind, and she hadn't even started her game yet. She had her ways when itcame to men.
Once Aurelia was in the room, she received a message from Arnold. He was coming back homeearlier. Leopold glanced at her phone and snatched it away possessively.
“You're not going back.”
Aurelia looked up at him seriously, “There's another reason I haven't been back these past threeyears. I was injured, paralyzed from the waist down. Doctors said I might never walk again. It wasArnold who looked after me, encouraged me, and helped me to stand again. I owe him a lot.Something I can never repay in a lifetime. This is also your fault. If you had been honest with meabout your plans, I wouldn't have taken that risk in Eldoria.”
Her words cut him deep, reopening the wounds that were yet to heal. It was his fault, and he hadbeen punished by losing her for three years.
He wanted to say something but didn't know how. His lips moved, but he said nothing.
Aurelia took back her phone and said, “I've always said I'm a practical person. I don’t waste myemotions. You proposed divorce, so I left without a second thought. Now Arnold is marryingsomeone else, and I'll break up with him just the same. I know when to let go, and I don’t dragthings out. Now, I need to say my final goodbye to him.”

Chapter 336
Leopold pulled her into his arms, saying, “I wont let you go again. From now on, I'll be honest withyou and be a better husband.”
She didn't respond, quietly prying his fingers off her. She paused for a moment before slowlysaying, “I don't know what the future holds. We'll have to wait and see.”
She wasn't sure if their destiny left. There were many things, many people in his heart that weremore important than her. She didn't want to be abandoned again.
When Arnold arrived at Rosewood Manor, Aurelia had prepared a meal, waiting for him withWilliam.
The moment he stepped in, William rushed into his arms, “Daddy, you're finally back. Mommy and Imissed you so much.”
Arnold picked him up, planting a loving kiss on his little face, “Daddy missed you too.”
While he was in Freysland, his heart was never at ease, fearing Leopold might take advantage of hisabsence and take Aurelia away. So, as soon as Magnolia was out of the ICU, he rushed back.Aurelia gave a small smile, “Hungry, aren't you? Go wash up and change, then we can eat.” Arnold'sgaze lingered on her face, seeing her usual calm demeanor, he felt a bit relieved.
Chirpy chirped from its cage, “Daddy's back. Time for dinner.”
Aurelia couldn't help but think of their home in Goldstone. Every time Arnold came home, Chirpywould say those words.
They were a family, a warm and happy family of four. But sadly, that was soon to become a thing ofthe past.
