The CEO’S Unplanned Heir novel (Aurelia and Leopold) -
Chapter 448
Chapter 448
Elvis was a novice. Arnold had been a novice too, but during their time in Goldstone, Aurelia hadguided him into a pro.
William was also a player. The three of them, as a family, would often play a game of pokertogether.
Aurelia took a seat next to Elvis, guiding him.
“Mr. Cooper, you've got a good hand this round, you could call the shots.”
Elvis keenly noticed the change in her address, which left him a bit downcast, but that was okay. Hewould work hard to bridge the gap between them.
"With a strategist like you by my side, this game is in the bag.”
"Well, don't be so sure, my hand is not too shabby either,” Avery quipped with a grin.
Arnold felt a twinge of jealousy, not liking the sight of Aurelia sitting next to Elvis.
Upstairs, William led Kane into his room.
Kane blinked, seemingly catching on to something. “William, if mom marries Mr. Cooper, will youmove with her, or stay with Dad?”
“I'd definitely stay with Dad,” replied William without hesitation.
“But wouldn't you have to live with your stepmom then? She might even have a baby brother foryou."
William made a face, “Dad wouldn't live with Lisa, he even had her go to the hospital for surgery soshe wouldn't have a baby. She got scared and ran back to Freysland and
hasn't dared return.
One day, he had been hiding at the staircase and saw Dad dragging Lisa, intent on taking her to thehospital. She was crying her eyes out, clutching the leg of a table. Grandma Magnolia had to comeand stop Dad, taking Lisa away with her.
Kane was taken aback, “Your stepmom went back to Freysland?”
William nodded, “Yeah, if she hadn't hidden herself, Dad would've divorced her long ago.”
Kane sighed. If mom married Arnold, she would still be a part of the Stirling family and couldfrequently visit the Stirling Mansion. But if she married Mr. Cooper, she would no longer come tothe Stirling Mansion. His chances to see her would be even fewer.
Lost in his thoughts, William voiced his wonder, “Why is the world of adults so complicated?”“Maybe because our fathers aren't ordinary people, their world is complicated.”

Kane closed the door and the curtains as he spoke.
He took off William's mask, revealing a face identical to his own.
“Why do you think we look exactly alike?”
William pulled a face, “Because we were born to the same mommy, duh.”
“But we don't look like mom.” Kane said quietly, muffling his voice and lowering it to a whisper.
“I heard from Laura that I have a twin brother who was kidnapped the moment he was born. Dadand mom separated just to replace him.” Kane said.
William moved to the desk, starting to fiddle with his model cars, seemingly not reacting to Kane'swords at all, as if he hadn't heard them.
Kane walked over, “Are you even listening to me?”
William nodded while playing with his models, “I heard a little.”
Kane patted his shoulder, “Could you be my twin brother?”
William shook his head vehemently, “I'm not, I have a dad, and he’s your Uncle Arnold.”
Kane said seriously, “But you don't look like Arnold, but you look like my dad.”
William picked up a toy car and slid it across the tabletop, “He's my uncle, it's not strange for me tolook like him. One of my friends also looks like his uncle.”
Kane took a long look at him, his gaze subtle and deep, “Don’t you want to be my twin brother?”“I don't.” William answered without hesitation. As a highly intelligent child prodigy, she had alreadyconsidered everything Kane could think of, and he was just playing dumb.
He didn't want to be Mr. Ices son, he only wanted to be his father's son. He loved his father themost and would never leave him. He wanted to stay with his father forever.
