They stepped onto the Ferris wheel.

Aurelia was acrophobic. Her knees trembled and she dared not look down.

Leopold, ever so perceptive, pulled her into his arms, “Does this make you feel any better?” Thewarmth of his embrace and his strong physique offered enough comfort. But Aurelia wanted topush him away because this embrace belonged to another woman now, not her.

As she slightly moved, the cabin swayed a bit which frightened her to the point where she held ontohis jacket unconsciously.

Leopold's long fingers stroked her back, his voice as soft as a gentle evening breeze.

“I'm here, so you have nothing to fear.”

But his words were like a knife in her heart, causing a dull ache. He was no longer by her side, andhe had left her, abandoned her.

William stuck out his tongue, “I was just joking with Uncle Leopold.”

Leopold was speechless

Clever boy, always thinking ahead.

Compared to William's mischief, Kane was rather quiet, not wanting to disturb his parents. If theycould always be this close, they would surely reconcile eventually.

After the Ferris wheel, they enjoyed a myriad of other fun-filled activities.

The children had a great time that day, and so did Aurelia.

She truly wanted to have a good life with Leopold. She even planned to reveal William's identity attheir wedding, so the four of them could truly be a family.

Unfortunately, the wedding was called off. Perhaps there would never be a wedding between herand Leopold.

After the amusement park, Leopold took them to Elysium’s most exclusive Italian restaurant. Thechildren wanted pizza.

He rented out the place for the day.

The bodyguards had arrived earlier to secure the place.

The server poured the most expensive white wine and fresh juice for the kids.

The family raised their glasses, the clinking sound echoed around the table.

“Merry Christmas!”

Leopold took a sip of his wine and asked in a deep voice, “Besides work, what else have you beenup to lately?”

Aurelia glanced at him, “I plan to make some investments.”

Despite not believing his words, since he mentioned a six-month deadline, she was willing to waitfor him.
