Leopold came over, patting his son's head. “Your tutor is here. It's time for your lessons in thestudy.”

“Alright.” Kane finished his glass of milk and got up to leave.

Leopold sat on the sofa opposite Jessica and poured himself a coffee. “Mom, how long has it beensince you last visited your maiden home? Do you miss Grandma and your brothers?”

Jessica sipped her tea and said slowly, “Your grandmother's ninetieth birthday is coming. It is timeto visit.”

“I'll go with you this time,” Leopold said casually, “I still haven't met all of your family. I've only met afew of your brothers but never your sister. She didn't come for your sixtieth birthday. Why?"
