Stepping out of the room and rounding the stairwell, she lowered her gaze to see Kerry and a manascending the stairs side by side.

She quickly pulled Beverley into a hidden corner, putting a finger over her lips in a hush gesture.Pressing herself against the wall, she peeked out from their hiding spot, watching as Kerry and theman entered a small room designated for fortune telling.

Beverley, too, couldn't resist her curiosity and tried to peek. Having not seen the man's face earlier,she was surprised upon recognizing him. “Oh my God, he’s here too!”

Aurelia was confused about who Beverley meant and hurriedly asked, “Do you know

them?”

Beverley nodded. “That woman is the owner of the Twilight Club. Do you know it? That place is afavorite haunt for wealthy socialites, filled with stunning male prostitutes. The man is even moreimpressive. His name is Zachary, a mysterious wizard It's said that he practices black magic. I can'tbelieve he’s here at Elysium.”

Aurelia was stunned.

According to medical research, the potions used in some black magic are from various bacteria andmicroorganisms. Owing to the vast variety of these microorganisms, the black magic practiced byeach sect varies.

The main principle of this sinister craft is to inflict continuous psychological attacks on the victimuntil they succumb to mental breakdown, leading eventually to their death.

Was Kerry meeting with Zachary to employ some form of black magic on someone?

Her heart jolted. If Megan was planning to do this, it would either be against her, Leopold, or theirson, Kane.

Megan lingered at the door for a while before leaving. It was unclear what she might haveheard.

Aurelia, with Beverley in tow, descended the stairs from the other end of the hallway.

She knew she had to keep a close eye on Megan.

Beverley, puzzled, asked, “Why did you hide just now?”

“I... I mistook her for Melissa.”

Aurelia offered a weak smile and concocted a cover story as they were both in red dresses.Beverley sighed, thinking Melissa's outrageous behavior must have scared Aurelia out.

Afterward, Aurelia watched Megan closely but didn't see her interact with Zachary.

It made sense.

A cunning woman like her would secretly meet Zachary in a hotel, not under the watchful eyes ofeveryone, leaving behind evidence.

She would need Leah's friend to keep a close watch on Megan. It would be a red alert once shecaught Megan meeting Zachary.

Upon returning from the party, she sent a WhatsApp message to Leopold. [We need to meettomorrow. I have something important to tell you.]

Leopold responded instantly, [I'm on my way.]

He had bought a villa not far from Blossom Villa. It was only a ten-minute drive away.

Soon, he arrived outside the gate.

Aurelia quickly got into his car.
