Elvis felt a bit more at ease after her words, flashing a charming smile, "Then, we'll arrangesomething after you're not so swamped.”

Avery, seated to her right, was eyeing a little girl picking food from the buffet cart nearby, his gazefull of indulgence.

"Look at these buttery lobster fritters. Avery and Aurelia would love them; he said.

Leah licked her lips, picked up three fritters, added some pastries, and then grabbed a cocktail,cheerfully making her way back.

A woman approached from the side, teetering on her stiletto. Suddenly, one heel buckled, and shelost her balance, stumbling right into Leah.

Leah's pastries and cocktails were sent airborne, the cocktail splashing onto her evening dress.Leah gasped, "Are you okay?"

She extended a hand to help the woman, who was both embarrassed and irked. Unable to controlher temper, she picked up her stiletto and swung it at Leah's head.

With quick reflexes, Leah raised her hand to protect her head, swiftly standing up and dodging. Thesharp heel struck her arm.

She grimaced in pain as the heel broke her skin, blood immediately oozing out.

A tall figure swept over like a hurricane, furiously snatching the stiletto fram the woman's hand andtossing it several feet away.

Seeing Leah injured, Avery was heartbroken. He quickly rushed her to the hospital, no longer caringabout the gala.

Leah tried to lighten the mood through her pain, managing a weak smile, “I'm okay, Avery. It's just aminor injury.

Just need some ointment.”

"No. You need to go to the hospital for disinfection” Avery insisted, removing his coat and draping itover her, his arm around her shoulder as they headed out. He ignored the paparazzi lurking nearby,snapping pictures.

The woman on the ground was taken aback. She only then realized that Leah was Avery's assistant,not a typical staff member.

But she quickly recovered, confident in her powerful backing. She was Karin Bottorff, the daughterof the boss of Starstruck Entertainment, and her self-directed films had won many awards.

It was absolutely quiet in the hall. The crowd was stunned and exchanged glances.

Aurelia stepped forward, looking down at her sternly, "I hope you're prepared to publicly apologizeto Avery's assistant, Leah."

Karin got up from the floor, rolling her eyes at Aurelia, "She bumped into me. She should be the oneapologizing.”

Aurelia snorted, "Everyone saw that it was you who bumped into her. Are you trying to twist thetruth?"

"I didn't bump into her. She tripped me, and that's why I fell.”

She limped over to retrieve her stiletto, feeling utterly humiliated for the first time in her life. Sheurgently took out her phone to call her father for help.

Aurelia watched her retreating figure, a spark of anger flaring in her eyes.

Elvis joined her, "This is going to cause a commotion on social media soon. Let's inform Arnold andthe PR department of Serenity Films to see how they want to handle this"

Aurelia nodded in agreement.

At the hospital. After the doctor treated Leah's wound and bandaged it up, Avery said, "For the nextfew days, don't stay in your apartment alone. Come stay at my place for rest and recovery. Anddon't go to the set tomorrow. Let others handle the work"

She pouted, "I'm fine, and you don't have to worry.”

"Good girl, listen to me,” Avery said, showing a bit of dominance.
