Chapter 293 Equally Important
Daphne said, “Maybe there were aftereffects from the surgery of her previous abortion?”
The light turned green.
Adrian slowly pressed on the accelerator and shook his head slightly. “It’s hard to say.”
Lysander said, “Dr. Latour is a seasoned gynecologist. Her surgery should’ve gone well.”
“The surgery might have been fine, but what if there were complications afterward? By the way, Lysander, I’ve been wondering, isn’t it said that improper postpartum care can lead to postpartum illness issues like back pain or incontinence? She lost the baby late into her pregnancy, which is kind of like a small postpartum period. Could it be the same kind of postpartum illness?”
Touching on her field of expertise, Lysander seriously explained, “Postpartum illnesses are essentially physical damages caused by pregnancy and childbirth. These damages are usually irreversible and can last a lifetime. But in ancient times, people revered large families and didn’t want women to fear childbirth, so they blamed all these problems on ‘poor postpartum care.”
That makes sense. Lysanne’s family is well-off, and she’s an only child. Her parents would have given her the best postpartum care. So why does she look so weak now?”
Adrian suddenly interjected, “Her health issues might not be related to the surgery.”
“Then what is it related to?”
“She lived quite wildly abroad.”
Adrian left it at that, but they were adults and understood what he implied.
Daphne shook her head. “Josiah’s love is truly remarkable. He loves Lysanne so much, but doesn’t he care about what she did abroad? She was living so recklessly, and Josiah didn’t know?”
“Didn’t he give up on her and choose to marry Lysander instead?”
Daphne scoffed, “But then he was willing to divorce her to take Lysanne back.”
Adrian shrugged. “Maybe Yvonne was right. We don’t understand what Lysanne means to Josiah.”
Daphne glanced cautiously at Lysander.
“What is it?” Lysander asked.
Daphne clung to her arm. “Nothing, just some good news.”
“What good news?”
“Priscilla called me. Harry doesn’t agree to the divorce.”

Daphine summarized, “Nothing much, just a disagreement between Irry and his mother. Harry wants a quick divorce to be with Lora, but his mom thinks even a small ben it is still a benefit. She wants to get some money from Priscilla, or else she feels her son had been a gigolo for nothing.”
Lysander frowned. “Harry’s mom thinks her son getting married is like being a gigolo? With Priscilla’s standards, if she wanted a gigolo, he’d at least be handsome or strong. What does Harry have?”
“I’m telling you, you can’t think about the Molseys with normal logic. They’re both greedy beyond.
measure.”
“So how was it resolved?”
Daphne smiled, “Don’t worry, Fred threw him out. Priscilla said her dad is already talking to a lawyer to file for divorce. Even if it takes five or ten years, they won’t give the Molsey family a dime!”
Lysander sighed in relief. “It won’t take that long. His mom is too shortsighted. She wants everything. But Harry is ‘smart’. He knows what’s more important”
“Exactly. Josiah handled this well. Lora has a typical influencer face, but men seem to like that. We can’t understand their taste. And with her being the heiress of Seamus Corporation and Josiah’s endorsement, Harry wouldn’t suspect a thing. She’s such a good catch. Harry wouldn’t pass up a woman with both beauty and wealth!”
Adrian added slowly, “Nothing falls from the sky for free. If it does, it’s poisoned.”
“Whether it’s poisoned or not, Harry treats women like stepping stones. This time, he got a full-on escalator. Poisoned or not, he’d still take it.”
“True,” Adrian agreed. “Now we just wait and see Harry fall from grace.”
