"How's everything in the back?" Joseph asked Emilia. Busy with greeting guests, Emilia suddenly remembered. "Oh no, I haven't checked on Winter. I don't even know how she looks after getting ready." "I'll go look, Emilia!" Jade, who was overjoyed that her daughter was finally marrying Xavier, volunteered eagerly.

She was especially delighted that her daughter had triumphed over that other woman's child.

Seeing Jade's enthusiasm, Emilia nodded. "Alright. That makes more sense. You're Winter's mother and probably know her best."

Jade exchanged a few words with Julian before going to the back.

Winter had already finished her makeup and was adjusting her dress when she saw Jade come in. "Mom, have all the guests arrived?"

"Not yet, but you have no idea! All the prominent people of Brookville who could come are here!" Jade could not hide her joy. "Winter, my darling daughter, I want everyone in Brookville to know that my daughter is the happiest woman in the world."

"Mom!" Winter laughed shyly and then asked, "Where's Xavier?"

"He's outside, busy greeting guests. Don't worry, you'll have plenty to do tonight," Jade said, winking at Winter, her expression full of meaning.

Winter blushed. "Mom, you're embarrassing me! What are you talking about?"

"Come on, you're getting married. No need to be shy. Once you and Xavier are married, you should hurry up and have a baby. Then, everything in the Harris family will be yours."

"Have a baby?" Winter's expression changed. "But I'm still young, and I have acting to do. Having a baby might ruin my figure."

Winter was not keen on the idea of having a baby right away. "Let's not talk about that. Mom, has that wretched Noelle arrived yet?"

"Her?" Jade had been so bus

Winter's

wedding that she had

forgotten about Noelle. "I don'te

know, but didn't you say you sent

her an invitation?

"She wouldn't dare not come. That girl cares too much about appearances. If she doesn't show up, people will talk."

Winter's eyes brightened. "That's

good. Noelle is my only sister. If she doesn't come to my wedding, I'd be so disappointed," Winter said, her eyes glinting darkly.

Whether Noelle came or not, people would definitely gossip.

Winter clenched her fists for a moment before looking at Jade. "Mom, I'm so happy. But I can't let Noelle be lonely."

"You're so kind. Don't worry, there

are plenty of rich men at the

wedding. I'll make sure to replace a

good match for your sister, ensuring she lives a life of luxury and

unforgettable experiences.

Winter and Jade exchanged smiles, with Winter holding Jade's hand. "I knew you always had the best intentions for both me and Noelle."

Outside, a pair of dark eyes filled with a sharp light watched them.

In the next moment, she regained her composure. Her face was radiant, with the two scars on her face seemingly doing nothing to diminish her beauty.
