Sean dropped Noelle off at home just as Charles was coming downstairs, already dressed in clean loungewear. Seeing Noelle and Sean walk in, Charles raised an eyebrow. "Why so late?"
Noelle took off her shoes and found a clean pair for Sean, handing them to him. "You two talk. I'll go get you guys some water!"
Charles raised an eyebrow and looked at Sean, who had a mischievous glint in his eye.
"Charles, you missed quite a show earlier. I witnessed something pretty entertaining!" Sean said, strolling over to the couch and casually propping his long legs up on the coffee table, only to have Charles kick them off.
"Sit properly," Charles commanded.
Clearly in a good mood, Sean grinned at Charles.
1. to. That guy actually had the nerve to confess to her right in front of me, of all people!"
You'd better be careful. Your wife was just confessed
"Who?"
Charles' expression darkened, his gaze turning icy as it locked onto Sean.
Just then, Noelle returned with two glasses of water. She handed one to Sean and the other to Charles. Don't listen to Mr. Smith's nonsense. It was just a classmate of mine," she said, noticing the gleam in Sean's eyes that hinted he enjoyed stirring up trouble.
"Really, it was nothing."
"Alright."

Noelle's presence immediately soothed Charles' temper. He took a sip of water, his eyes following her as she moved about.
Then, turning back to Sean, he said, "I've got some things to discuss with Sean. Why don't you go upstairs, take a bath, and get some rest?"
"Okay." Noelle glanced between Charles and Sean, sensing they needed to talk privately. She then headed upstairs.
Once Noelle was out of sight, Charles turned back to Sean, his expression darkening again. "This classmate of hers-who is it?"
Sean smirked, his expression innocent but with a mischievous glint in his eyes. "I knew you wouldn't be able to stay calm!"
Even though Noelle managed to calm him down just now, knowing Charles, there was no way he would let this slide.
"Remember that class reunion? Your wife got bitten by a snake, and this guy played the hero."
As soon as Sean finished speaking, he could feel the air around him growing colder. He could not help but chuckle, "Charles, do you really have to be so dramatic? The guy just likes your wife!" "That's not acceptable."

Charles' mind flashed to the man who had saved Noelle that day, and his eyes narrowed. "What did he say to Nelly?"
"Not much. From what I could tell, your wife has absolutely no interest in him, so you can relax. Besides, with your influence, there aren't many people in this city who can match up to you." Sean paused before adding, "But now, we've got another issue with my brother."
Charles frowned slightly. "Bob doesn't have any interest in Nelly," he stated, knowing the truth from their private agreement.
"True, but my aunt owes your mother-in-law a favor, and you know what kind of person Jade is. Now that she's got a connection to the Smiths, she's not going to let go easily. Your wife is probably in for a bit of a hassle," Sean said, not hiding the fact that he found some amusement in the situation.
"But actually, my brother isn't a bad catch. It seems they've got good taste."
Charles gave Sean a look, his gaze unreadable.
Sean suddenly felt a shiver down his spine. "What the hell is with that look? You're creeping me out..."
"Isn't that what you're here for?" Charles replied as he stood, looking down at Sean with a hint of command in his eyes.
"So, from now on, you're going to play your role well, Bob."
