The wind outside was strong, and Noelle was dressed rather lightly. When she heard Xavier's words that were carried over by the wind, she almost thought she had misheard. "You're looking for me?" Xavier nodded as he glanced at Noelle. She seemed thinner than he remembered, which made him a bit concerned. "You've lost a lot of weight."

Hearing this, Noelle frowned. "If you have something to say, just say it."

She glanced around impatiently, adding, "It's work hours."

Xavier's face stiffened slightly, his expression becoming somewhat awkward. "Noelle, do we really have to be like this?"

"And what do you suggest we do, dearest brother-in-law?" Noelle narrowed her eyes with a cold smile playing on her lips. "If you don't have anything important to say, I'll be heading back."

"Noelle!" Xavier called out and sighed slightly. "I know you're still angry with us, but what's done is done."

He regretted it deeply, but he understood that things between them could never go back to the way they were. "A few days ago, Winter mentioned that your mom arranged a marriage for you. Are you... satisfied with the person?" Noelle scoffed. "If you came here just for that, then let me make it clear-you might be married to my sister, but you have no right to meddle in my affairs!"

Her patience was wearing thin. "Is that all?"

"Your mom mentioned you're working at Collosus Group now, so I came by." Xavier looked at Noelle. "I was actually worried about how you'd manage after leaving Frotconn."

"Oh, so you're saying that I'm incompetent? That without Frotconn, I wouldn't be able to replace a job or survive?" Noelle's tone was laced with sarcasm as she stared coldly at Xavier. "Anything else?"

"And this..." Xavier's heart sank at Noelle's icy demeanor.

He pulled an invitation from his pocket and handed it to Noelle. "Winter's birthday is coming up in a few days. Since this is our first year of marriage, she wants to throw a big birthday party, so..."

Noelle chuckled as she took the invitation from Xavier and opened it. Sure enough, inside were photos of Winter and Xavier.

She flipped the invitation in her hand

nonchalantly "You and Winter are really putting in the effort. It's not unheard of to throw a birthday party, but turning a birthday invitation into a way to show off your marriage is a first for me.

"What, are you two planning to get married a second time?"

Xavier's expression instantly

darkened at her words, and he was growing noticeably more uncomfortable. He took the invitation back from Noelle. He was

taken aback upon seeing the wedding photo inside.

"This... can't be. When Winter made the invitations, there weren't any wedding photos."

Noelle smirked. "Don't worry, Xavier. She's still my only sister. Naturally, I'll attend her birthday party. Is that all? If so, I'll get going."

She took the invitation from Xavier's hand and walked away without looking back.

Xavier called out to Noelle, but she did not turn around.

As he watched her walk away, he felt a deep sense of loss, as if something vital was slipping away from his life but it was happening too quickly for him to grasp.

As soon as Noelle stepped into the elevator, her phone rang. It was Charles. "Come upstairs for a moment."

Noelle was slightly surprised, sensing something off in Charles' tone. "What's going on?" she asked with a smile.

"How did you know I was back at the office?" Then, it hit her. "Did you see me?"
