Xavier, who had been refused entry, was now waiting in the lobby of Collosus Group.

He figured that Charles would not want to see him, but he was sure that Charles was inside, so he decided to wait outside. However, Xavier's assumption was wrong-Charles truly was not planning on returning to the office today.

Xavier waited in Collosus Group's lobby for quite some time, even lingering through the lunch break when all employees left, but Charles never showed up. Instead, he saw someone he had not expected.

Noelle and Arya had not joined Brian and the others on their site visit. They had just finished a small project, and Arya had been insisting on treating Noelle to a meal. Since Noelle was busy in the evening, Arya suggested lunch, so the two decided to grab some food at a restaurant near Collosus Group.

Just as they reached the entrance of Collosus Group, Xavier's gaze immediately fixed on Noelle. Noelle quickly noticed Xavier as well and was surprised to see him here.

After months of not seeing each other, Noelle looked vibrant, practically glowing. The sight of her rekindled something in Xavier's heart that he could not control, causing it to beat erratically once again.

Arya did not know Xavier and had not noticed Noelle's discomfort. As she continued chatting about what they should order, she glanced at Noelle and noticed that she seemed to be deliberately avoiding someone. Puzzled, Arya asked, "Noelle, what's wrong?" Noelle pressed her lips together slightly, but before she could respond, Xavier stepped forward and blocked their path. "Noelle, it's been a while!"

Startled by Xavier's sudden appearance, Arya nearly stepped back in surprise. She dramatically patted her chest and looked at Xavier suspiciously. "Who are you? Do you know Noelle?" Turning to Noelle, she asked, "Is this your friend?"

Noelle frowned slightly. If she had a choice, she would not have acknowledged him. She was not sure what Xavier was doing there, so she simply asked, "Do you need something?" Xavier was also frowning. He seemed troubled by Noelle's cold demeanor. "What? Can't I come to see you if there's nothing going on? Noelle, we were once-"

"Xavier, if you have nothing to say,

please step aside. Our lunch break is

already short, and I don't want you wasting my colleague's time." Noelle was not interested in hearing

Xavier's meaningless vers

Whatever she had with Xavier was long over. It had not been too long since their breakup, but it was enough time for her to let go of any feelings for him. Noelle was not someone who lingered in the past or dwelled on lost relationships.

Xavier's expression darkened slightly, but with Noelle's colleague beside her, he held back his words.

Instead, he looked at Arya with an apologetic gaze. "Hello, you're Noelle's colleague, right? Could you please give us a moment alone? I have some things I'd like to discuss with Noelle."

Arya looked conflicted and then turned to Noelle. It was obvious that Noelle had no interest in Xavier, let alone talking to him alone.

Arya replied firmly, "I'm sorry, sir. As you heard, Noelle doesn't have time to chat with you. We need to get

back to work after lunch, so please don't keep us from having our meal."
