The Cherished Wife (Noelle and Charles) -
Chapter 676
Winter was pinned to the ground by a paparazzo who had been looking through his camera, and his hand ended up pressing down on her chest.
Her entire face flushed bright red, and she looked completely disheveled. In a frenzy, she punched and kicked at the paparazzo lying on top of her, yelling, "Get off me! All of you, get lost!"
It was a rare sight to see a glamorous celebrity in such a state. As people whispered among themselves, they turned their cameras toward Winter's face, snapping away.
Even though they had not captured any groundbreaking news, the story of Winter being groped at the airport and her chaotic escape was sure to be explosive.
After everyone had finished taking their photos, they dispersed, leaving Winter lying on the ground. Her eyes were wide open, her expression vacant.
Passersby pointed at her, murmuring, "Is that woman sick or something? Why is she just lying there?"
"Hey, she looks really familiar!"
"Yeah, look at her! Her clothes are all torn, and she's... exposed."
"Wait, isn't she that really famous star?"
"Quick, take photos! I can't believe we're seeing a celebrity like this."
A group of onlookers exclaimed excitedly and hurriedly took out their phones, snapping endless photos of Winter. Finally, Winter seemed to regain her senses.
When she saw the bystanders taking photos, she scrambled to her feet, desperately pulling at her clothes and screaming hysterically, "Stop it! Delete those photos, or I'll sue you!" Nevertheless, the onlookers ignored her, giving her a disdainful glance before walking away.
Winter screamed in frustration, "Stop! Come back here!"
"Winter!" Suzy, who had seen Winter's distress, hurried over and quickly took off her own jacket. She draped it over Winter's shoulders. "What happened to you? How did you end up like this?" "I..." The moment Winter saw Suzy, she could not hold it in anymore. She broke down completely, clutching Suzy tightly.
Out of Winter's sight, Suzy's lips curled into a smile, her eyes cold and devoid of warmth.
"Winter, didn't I tell you to wait for me inside? Why did you run out? was waiting and waiting but didn't see you, so I came out to check. you,
What on earth happened? How did things end up like this?"
"Can we not talk about it right now? Where's your car? I need to leave this place."
"Okay, okay. Don't cry. My car is over there. Let's get in first," Suzy said while helping Winter into the car.
She then handed her a thermos. "Here, have some warm tea first. Tell me, what exactly happened? I was waiting for you inside, and then suddenly you were gone."
"I don't know what happened. The
moment I stepped outside, I was
targeted. The paparazzi were chasing me relentlessly. I couldn't replace you, so I ran out, but I had no idea there were so many reporters outside as well!"
Winter's entire body was trembling. Just thinking about the chaos left her terrified. She had never imagined that being hunted down could feet so horrifying, and those people had not listened to a word she said, merely forcing accusations on her.
"It seems like someone planned this, but who could it be?" Suzy frowned. "Have you offended anyone recently? And someone even deliberately linked you to Charles.
"I just called Mr. Wells, and he said Charles is furious about this. They think it's your doing."
