Chapter 64 Hold Tight

Nina Morrison has a dream. In her dream, she seems to be a carefree girl. Her father's company is good and her mother doesn't die in a car accident. She is also the beautiful little princess. Andrew stands under the cherry tree and smiles at her. His smile is warmer than the spring breeze.

Nina Morrison suddenly wakes up. She hears Lucien Gray whispering something around her. She thinks he is awake and turns to look at him. She just wants to ask him what he said just now but she can see his eyes still closed. It turns out that he is talking in a dream.

Lucien Gray's eyes are closed tightly and his thick eyelashes are shaking uneasily. He is talking about something and his face is filled with fear and despair.

Nina Morrison is shocked. She has never seen Lucien Gray look so helpless and painful. He must be having nightmares.

She is about to wake him up but suddenly she hears him clearly. "Mommy, don't... Don't... Mommy, I'm very good. I'll listen to you. Don't..."

With a low scream, Lucien Gray's eyes suddenly open. He awakes from his nightmare.

Lucien Gray sees Nina Morrison looking at him in surprise and his thick eyebrows tighten sharply.

His hand suddenly pinches Nina Morrison's chin. "What did you hear just now?"

Nina Morrison is shocked by Lucien Gray's action. "I heard you have nightmares," she says.

"Did you hear what I shouted?" Lucien Gray's expression is even worse. His black eyes shine a sharp and cold light.

"Well, I didn't hear you clearly. I just woke up." Nina Morrison is not a fool. It seems that Lucien Gray is reluctant to let others hear his dream talk. She's not so silly as to tell the truth.

Lucien Gray pinches her chin and looks at her expression with sharp eyes. Half a minute later he lets Nina Morrison go. It seems that he believes Nina Morrison's words.

Lucien Gray gets out of bed and lights a cigarette. He sits on the sofa and smokes slowly.

Lucien Gray seldom smokes and Nina Morrison knows he must be in a bad mood now when she sees his frown wrinkling.

She remembers what Lucien Gray said in his dream. "Mommy, don't... Lucien is very good. Lucien will listen to you." He shouted so pitifully, so sadly and so desperately. She never hears him mention his family. There's a lot of gossip in the newspaper about big families. But Gray Family has no gossip.

Gray Family is mysterious. Was Lucien Gray abandoned by his mother? Why did he shout so?

There are countless reasons in Nina Morrison brain but there is no need to replace the answer. Because at the moment, Lucien Gray's expression hurts her.

In the public view, he has been very ruthless and tyrannical. Nina Morrison has never seen him so helpless.

The sharpness and indifference in his eyes now turn into deep loss and confusion. Lucien Gray smokes gracefully but Nina Morrison can see that he is just smoking to hide his panic.

What on earth caused such a great harm to Lucien Gray? What made him cry in his sleep?

Nina Morrison suddenly feels a little sad. Her own mother died early. She can understand the pain of losing mother.

Nina Morrison slowly walks up to Lucien Gray and holds Lucien Gray for the first time. Lucien Gray does not push her away but quietly takes Nina Morrison and holds her tightly as if she is the only thing he can hold.
