Dylan clenches his jaw tightly, his desire to strangle this guy was enormous. So much time wanting to get rid of that yoke to fall again because of a weakness. At the moment he had no choice but to accept the conditions they were imposing on him, because if he didn't, Violet's life would be in danger. No doubt she would be killed, but at least she would be under their protection.

-If anyone touches a single hair on her head, she dies.

-No one will touch her." The man raises both hands.

He turns around, takes Violet in his arms, pulling her away from all the idiots behind him. He watches the pallor of her face fill him with worry and doubt. -Send for a doctor, immediately," he shouts.

After a long and thorough examination of Violet's body, the doctor ruled that although the wound had been sutured, the young woman had lost a lot of blood, as the stitches had come loose again. He patched up the damage and cleaned the young woman's bruises. As soon as he was done he got to his feet.

Dylan waited impatiently in the corridor, the doctor was taking his time with the girl and that worried him. He still wondered how she had gotten so hurt and why did she let herself get caught? Because that woman was so stubborn, she couldn't stay at home quietly, she always had to go out and do whatever she wanted to do, and she always had to go against everyone's will.

Look how much trouble she got into, and how much trouble he got into because of her. If it hadn't been for Violeta, he would have easily walked out of there. He combs his hair back, he thinks he must replace a way to get out of there with her... suddenly the door opens and behind it the doctor appears.

-How is she?

-She'll be fine, she needs rest or the wound will reopen.

-So...

-If your plan was to force her out of here, I'm telling you she could die if you force her body to the extreme. She barely made it out alive, Dylan.

-I understand.

-My advice is to wait for her to get better, maybe for the wound to heal.

The boy nods, looking towards the door, that was a problem, since his intention was to get her out of there in a day. But now with her badly hurt, how the f**k would he do that?

-I'll go see her, thank you very much for taking care of her.

Dylan enters Violet's room, the girl was fast asleep, she was connected to a hose with serum. He felt so guilty, she was in that state because of him, she almost died. He approached her sitting on the edge of the bed and that's when she started to stir. He waited patiently for her to open her eyes, the tiredness in her features was evident.

When she opens her eyes, the first thing Violet sees is Dylan, was it a dream, was she delirious, was it real, she slowly reaches out with the intention of caressing his cheek, but she can't reach it, so Dylan leans towards her to let her touch him. She feels Dylan's skin under her hand and feels her heart pounding.

-It's you! -She barely smiles. You're real, you're here Dylan," she smiles warmly.

-Of course it's me, I'm glad you woke up at last." He takes her hand, leaving a kiss on her palm. How are you feeling? I was so worried about you, you got into so much trouble this time.

-I feel like a truck ran over me, you know I like action." Lick her lips with his tongue. I'm dying of thirst." Dylan helps her get some water. Where are we?

-We're in a place that's not very safe.

-Those guys, we need to get out of here." She sits up a little, but the pain in her thigh makes it difficult to do so.

-I don't think it's that easy, you're very injured, the doctor said that any sudden movement could cause your death. You lost a lot of blood, Violeta.

-Those guys, they ambushed us... that's why I'm like this.

A string of oaths escaped Dylan's thoughts, those damn bastards were going to pay for everything they'd done to her.

-I'm so sorry, Violet.

-It's okay, it's not your fault. We need to replace out what those guys want with you and me. Maybe their problem is with me, you know, being the daughter of who I am.

Dylan bit his lips, he wanted to tell Violet everything, but... What if he did? What would she think of everything. It wasn't an easy conversation, since what he felt for her and what she felt for him was at stake. -Violet...

-My father must be on his way," she blurted out.

-What are you saying?

-Yes, my father must know where I am by now. I'm pretty sure he must be in this country with the rest of my family by now.

-In France? What are you talking about? -Dylan stands up, being watched by Violet.

-What's going on?

Now the problems had multiplied, with Demian's arrival in the country things would get complicated. How complicated! War would break out.

-Violet, there's something you should know.

[...]

The door of the office was opened by the doctor after the inner voice granted him permission to enter.

-Doctor! Good to see you, sit down. How is the girl?

-She'll be fine.

-Too bad she didn't die!

-I've told Dylan what you asked me about the young lady.

-That's good, that's good... that'll motivate him not to run off with that slut.

-I must go now, I don't want to be in this house by the time Demian arrives.

-Yes, I'm waiting for Demian's triumphant arrival. I'm sure he'll be worried sick about his precious daughter.

-Dylan in this one in the Morgan's chamber.

[...]

Dylan paced back and forth in the room, folding his arms and biting his lips. He was trying to replace the right words to speak to her, but it was so hard, they were all stuck in his throat. He knew she wouldn't take it the right way. -What's going on, Dylan? You're getting on my nerves with all this spinning.

-Listen, what I have to tell you is not easy, and I need you to keep an open mind.

-How to what? -With all her pain she managed to sit up in bed. It's no secret to me that things aren't going well, and that we're in danger.

-No, this situation is more complicated than you think. I'm not the one in danger.

-Oh no? -She answers deadly serious.

Violet suspected that things wouldn't be easy and that she'd have a tough time being Demian Morgan's daughter, enemies were just around the corner, but looking at Dylan's expression she knew he wouldn't like what she had to tell him, even if she knew enough about him already. Possibly nothing he had to tell her would make much of an impression.

-There's something I haven't told you, you see, I'm not really a college professor.

-Really? -She folds her arms as she raises an eyebrow, Dylan stops his steps to glare at her.

-You seem to know a lot about me.

-It's possible...

-The detail is, how much do you know, Violet.

Just at that moment Dylan detected some confusion in her face, and that's when he knew that he didn't know much, or maybe he did... he would have to replace out, he was already there, sooner or later he would replace out.

-I know who you are, Dylan," she answers confidently.

-Are you absolutely sure about that? Do you really know why you're here, Violet?

-You're all out to destroy my family, it's no secret that I've been captured to get my father's attention. So much protection from him isn't just for drama, you know?
