It took a tremendous effort, but Thalia finally managed to move Lucas onto the sofa. She then adjusted his position carefully before sitting in his lap with great caution.

Lucas ended up lying on Thalia's shoulder while she smiled sweetly at her phone camera. That was how they ended up taking a very intimate photo together.

"It's such a pity. How nice would it be if you were awake? Unfortunately, you're now bewitched by that slut Melody, so you can't distinguish who you truly like. It's okay. I'll always be by your side until you realize that the one you truly love is me."

Thalia took many photos in a row. She then looked at him and leaned in cautiously.

"I hope you won't blame me too much when you wake up, Lucas. You should have dumped Melody long ago. The sole reason I came back was to deal with her. I'll definitely help you get rid of that troublesome woman. Goodnight, sleep tight. Don't furrow your brow thinking about that woman anymore. When has she ever once thought of you? The one who cares about you the most is me!"

After settling Lucas on the sofa, Thalia stood up straight to check the photos on her phone. She smiled in satisfaction when she saw how sweet they looked together.

"These photos should be enough. Melody must have a really thick skull if she still denies these photos. But it's okay. She'll definitely realize she can never steal you from me once she sees enough of our intimate photos."

At that moment, the study door suddenly clicked open, startling Thalia, who nearly dropped her phone. She looked in terror at the person who had opened the door, only to replace it was Beatrice, who should have been resting in her room.

"G-Grandma?" called out Thalia in a fluster.

Beatrice's face was expressionless, appearing even somewhat cold.

As Beatrice approached, Thalia kept backing away.

Beatrice first checked Lucas' clothing to ensure everything was in place before turning her gaze to Thalia, who was standing nearby.

"Miss Thalia, your room is on the first floor. How did you end up in Lucas' study on the second floor?"

Thalia struggled to maintain her smile. It seemed like Beatrice was constantly on guard against her. Thalia had thought she had gone back to rest. She was lucky that Beatrice had not come in while she was taking photos of Lucas.

"Oh, well, you see, I was reading a book here in Lucas' study earlier, and then I forgot about it. Here it is. I intended to take it back to my room to continue reading, but I didn't realize Lucas had fallen asleep. He must have been very tired lately. I was afraid he might catch a cold, so I brought a blanket to cover him."

Thalia held the book in her hand, speaking as if her story were entirely true.

Beatrice scrutinized her for a moment before nodding.

"Miss Thalia, forgive my old-fashionedness, but now that Lucas is married, it's not appropriate for you to have such close contact. If you had a bit of self-respect, you wouldn't have entered the room of an adult man after he had fallen asleep. Since you have the book you wanted, please return to your own room."

Beatrice's eyes gleamed as if she had seen through Thalia.

However, Thalia was not willing to back down. Since Beatrice had not noticed her taking photos earlier, she argued back, "Grandma, I understand that you don't like me, but I haven't done anything disrespectful..."
