Melody closed her eyes in anguish. She did not want to go back to that place.

"If it doesn't matter where I live, then why can't I stay in the dormitory? I like it here. Please, Lucas, let me decide where I live. My life belongs to me..."

"I've said what I said. If you keep getting thinner, I'll come and take you back. Have you forgotten what the doctor said? You need to get proper care. Do you want to end up in the hospital again?" asked Lucas. Melody closed her eyes in pain. She did not want to go back to the hospital, nor did she want to return to the Riveras.

"Alright. You have my word I won't get any thinner."

Lucas finally seemed satisfied at Melody's reply. "From now on, send me pictures of your three meals every day. I want to confirm personally that you're eating well. If your diet is not up to standard, I'll have Lynette prepare and send meals to you."

Melody immediately rejected his proposal. She came to the dormitory to distance herself from everything related to the Riveras as much as possible. Having meals prepared and sent over would only lead to unnecessary entanglements.

"There's no need... " Melody began, but seeing Lucas frown, she continued with some casual nonsense, not wanting to argue further. "I don't want to attract attention with the crew. Besides, the cafeteria food is good. As you said, you've asked me to send you pictures for confirmation. Maybe you'll be satisfied with that? Please don't have Lynette cook and send meals over to me. I don't want that," Melody insisted.

Lucas lowered his head, lost in thought. After a long pause, he reluctantly agreed. "Fine."

"Don't you have a scene to shoot? Why aren't you going?" Lucas asked, looking at Melody.

Melody looked up in surprise. 'Isn't he going to leave?'

"Don't you have matters to attend to at your company?"

"Why are you here so early in the morning? You're usually busy as a bee. Now you seem like you have a lot of free time on your hands," Melody remarked.

Lucas waved his hand dismissively. "Don't I have the right to take a break? Just focus on your filming, don't mind me," he said nonchalantly.

Lucas said not to mind him, and Melody was happy to comply. However, she was used to being alone, and his presence just made her uncomfortable.

As Melody opened the door, she saw Shaun and a few others waiting outside. Her eyes were slightly moist from getting hurt by Lucas moments before, and she wondered if it affected her makeup. Thus, she decided to look for Evelyn.

She knew that even if Lucas came to the set quietly, these people would definitely come to greet him.

"Evelyn, I need your help again," Melody said as she approached the makeup artist.

Evelyn waved her hand, indicating that it was no trouble at all. However, she could not help but notice how perfectly matched Melody and Lucas were in terms of looks. Of course, she kept these thoughts to herself.

Melody seemed to be in a bad mood, so Evelyn quietly touched up the makeup under her eyes.

Lucas felt a bit annoyed as he watched Shaun and the others sit across from him. He just wanted to see Melody, but these people insisted on crowding around.

However, it was not even 7:30 a.m. yet, and Melody and the others were already prepared with makeup, ready to start shooting. Lucas wondered what time she woke up.

"Do all your scenes require such early mornings?" Lucas suddenly asked.

Shaun, startled at the question, answered, "Um, not necessarily. It mainly depends on what the script requires. The scene for today is a morning scene, so the cast had to get up earlier."

Lucas fell silent after hearing Shaun's reply; he just quietly tapped his fingers. Everyone suddenly became tense, afraid that Lucas' dissatisfaction might lead to a withdrawal of investment.
