"Don't accuse others falsely. We're talking about you here! Who cares if Mister Lucas is your husband?"

Unfortunately, Carmen's words lacked credibility, and everyone noticed it. Every time Lucas appeared, her eyes would follow his every move. There had been several occasions where even the teacher had to remind her not to be too obvious about it.

After all, Lucas was Melody's husband, and they were a legitimate couple. No matter how much a woman liked a married man, the woman should consider the feelings of the married man's wife.

Carmen certainly knew what everyone was implying, and she knew they were probably mocking her behind her back, but so what? She dared to guarantee that every female student in the dance studio had fantasized about being with Lucas. She was just more obvious about it.

"There's no use denying it since you might just as well have your thoughts spoken out loud! But you know what? Let's put that aside for now. What I want to know is what have I done to you to have you gather everyone here just to attack me?"

Melody crossed her arms, showing none of her usual easy-going demeanor. Over the days, she had come to realize that it was because she did not confront them earlier that they felt they could bully her at will.

The other students needed to understand that even the kindest person would explode if pushed too far. Especially with the significant events unfolding in Lucas' family, she could not leave everything for him to handle. It was time for her to learn to deal with all of this herself.

"Women like you are fair game for everyone's scorn," Carmen lashed out, unable to replace any other excuse but resorting to personal attacks. "You're like a plague, bringing misfortune to anyone who comes near you. If I were you, I'd hide at home and never come out. It's audacious of you to flaunt yourself around outside."

Melody did not respond immediately. Instead, she looked around at the other students. "Do you all share her opinion? Do you all think I should stay at home and not work just because there's been an incident in my husband's family?"

The other students remained silent, but it was evident that they shared similar sentiments. In reality, they were just using Beatrice's accident as an excuse to bully Melody.

"Don't lump us all together. That's Carmen's opinion alone," one of them spoke up. "But what you did was a bit too much. If you truly love Mister Lucas, you should do what's best for him and stay away from him."

They were aware that Melody had her studio and was not someone to be trifled with easily. Thus, they decided to take a more indirect approach to persuade Melody to leave Lucas. That way it might open up opportunities for them as well.

"Haha, that's hilarious." Carmen scoffed disdainfully while thinking, 'This bunch talks big but never backs it up. They're just blaming everything on me.'

However, Carmen was determined to make Melody understand that she was not as great as she thought. She was nothing without Lucas! After all, her achievements were only possible because she had married into the Rivera family. They would be able to achieve something in the entertainment industry too if they had a husband like Lucas.

"You're not entirely wrong," said Melody. "But so what? Is it strange that my husband helps me in my career? I advise you not to waste your time speculating about baseless things behind my back. Instead of spreading rumors, why don't you spend that time practicing your dance routine? At least it might help you look less stiff. And if you continue spreading rumors about me, I'll have my lawyer deal with it, and you'l pay the price for your slander."
