Lucas glanced coldly at Thalia, causing her face to flush red as she shamefully lowered her head. Even then, Lucas did not speak up to defend Thalia.

"Excuse me. If there's nothing else, please move aside. I need to leave," Lucas said flatly.

"Do you not remember me at all? It was under that banyan tree where you saw me crying and handed me the handkerchief, telling me not to be sad. Do you not remember any of that?" Tears welled up in Thalia's eyes, but Lucas remained silent. The outcome was clear.

Thalia could not bear the mockery from the onlookers anymore. She fled from the scene to escape the crowd.

She found a corner and squatted. From there, she could still see Lucas as he strode into the auditorium. At that moment, Claudia emerged from the auditorium.

Claudia came out happily. The teacher had just permitted her to bring Thalia in, but she did not expect to come out and not see Thalia. Instead, she bumped into Lucas.

"Lucas, have you seen a girl here who looks a bit like me?" Claudia asked.

Thalia keenly noticed the difference in Lucas' attitude when speaking to Claudia. What surprised her even more was Lucas' patience in responding, "No, I didn't. There were so many people coming and going here. Maybe try asking over there?"

Claudia's face immediately turned red. "You really didn't see her? Are you sure? Because she's one gorgeous girl!"

"Is that so? I did notice an unfamiliar girl who stood out a bit," Lucas replied. After all, Thalia had blocked his path earlier, so he had not paid attention to anyone else.

Claudia pursed her lips and stretched her neck to look around but still could not replace Thalia. "Forget it, then. I'm sure she's big enough to know not to wander off."

The teachers were urging them to start rehearsals, so Claudia could not afford to leave the school to look for Thalia. She headed back to the auditorium, with Lucas a few steps away from her.

They looked so compatible together, and seeing this scene made Thalia grit her teeth.

'Claudia, why do you always have to compete with me for everything? I was the one who liked him first!' Thalia conveniently forgot about Lucas ignoring her just moments ago. Thalia believed Lucas simply had not remembered her at that moment. She was convinced that as long as they met often enough, he would eventually remember her. 'Claudia, don't blame me for what I'm going to do next since you have no qualms about stealing Lucas away from me!'

"I'm back! Dad, is Thalia home? We were supposed to visit my school together, but I lost her halfway through. I searched the entire school but couldn't replace her anywhere..."

Henry placed the last dish on the dining table and, upon hearing what Claudia said, wiped his hands on his apron.

"No, she's not back yet. Wasn't she with you at school? She even sent me a text earlier saying she was at the library with you. She was

supposed to come back with net

you

after your rehearsal. Why didn't you

bring her back?"

Claudia stood frozen in place. "I couldn't replace her, so I came back. I thought she might have felt bored and returned home by herself. How could she not be in her room?"

She rushed towards Thalia's room and flung the door open, but there was no one inside. Panic started to set in. "Dad..."

"What do you want me to say? You

took your sister to your school and ended up losing her. She must be

terrified if she's still there. It's getting

dark. Go back to your schooland replace her!"
