Melody had no idea what other celebrities' fan meet-ups were like, but she hoped to give her fans the best of what she could do. She had no intention of competing with others. It was just that she did not expect that after this fan meet-up, there would be a wave of celebrities trying to outdo each other on their fan meet-ups.

She was given the title of the most conscientious celebrity. Since then, whenever there were similar fan events, her team would carefully prepare gifts. Otherwise, Melody might inadvertently gain a reputation for being stingy.

Before hosting the fan meet-up, Melody made a special trip to the detention center to see Thalia. She thought the last time they met in the hospital would be the final encounter, but she was surprised when the officers relayed that Thalia was insistent on seeing her in the detention center.

Melody knew what Thalia wanted to ask, but the past was set in stone. Even if she regretted it, there was no way to make amends.

"Wasn't it you who insisted on seeing me? Feel free to ask whatever you want to know. This may be the last time we'll ever meet," said Melody.

Thalia bit her lip and said, "That day you mentioned Claudia had left behind a letter... What did you mean by that?"

"Hmph. Who else do you think she would have done it for? Sure, she had some psychological issues, but with the intervention of a therapist and medication, she had already recovered. The reason she left that letter was simply because she sensed your intentions. I truly feel sorry for her."

Even though Claudia sensed her sister's dark intentions, she still chose to embrace her with the utmost sincerity, even hoping for her change of heart. Unfortunately, all Claudia received in the end was her demise.

Perhaps Lucas had once harbored feelings for Claudia, and Melody did not feel an ounce of jealousy because Claudia was truly a good person. Some might consider Claudia naive, but whether it was toward her father or toward the child picked up from the hospital dumpster, she always repaid them with the most genuine love. No one could have imagined Thalia would turn out to be so ungrateful. Melody could not help but feel sorry for Claudia. Perhaps her outcome would have turned out differently if Thalia had turned out to be more normal.

As Thalia heard those words from Melody, the light in her eyes quickly dimmed.

All along, she had been waiting for

this moment. During these days in the detention center, she tossed and turned, pondering when their sisterly relationship had turned into this mess. .

Thalia stared at her hands blankly as if still feeling the warmth of Claudia lying in her embrace. "I... I had done you wrong, Claudia. If there's a next life, let me be your older sister..."

Seeing Thalia in tears, Melody witnessed regret on her face for the first time.

"You should go. Now that I know my past, I promise I won't disturb your lives anymore."

After saying that, Thalia left with the assistance of the prison guards.

Inexplicably, Melody felt like Thalia was saying her last goodbye to her. After all, Thalia was ultimately going to pay the price for what she had done.

The weather outside was perfect.

Melody walked out of the detention

center, looked up, and noticed the sky was exceptionally blue. The sunlight on her face was

exceptionally warmer too.

Fortunately, it was all over. She and Lucas could return to their lives.

As she descended the steps, she saw Lucas waiting by the car.
