The Deserted Rich Beauty (Nicole and eric)
Chapter 1938 Ask For It Yourself

The reason why Lumi hated Samuel so much was not because he had betrayed her.

Simply speaking, Samuel cheating on her was not enough to make her get a divorce. The most crucial thing was Kirsi.

Her sister was much more important than her husband.

Samuel colluded with Tumi's dearest sister to betray and fool her.

No matter how they explained, they would not be able to wash away their sins.

Lumi would not believe a word of it anymore.

Lumi looked at the dark sky in the distance. There were no street lights, so it looked like a black hole that could swallow everything.

"Let's get a divorce tomorrow and get it done as soon as possible. If you don't agree with it, I'll send out your photos and file a divorce lawsuit on the grounds that you had an extramarital affair. Samuel, don't make this worse than it already is. You're asking for it."

Lumi's voice was calm and expressionless.

She had the advantage anyway. If she did not know how to play this good hand of cards, then she would be really stupid.

It was not that Lumi had no love for this man.

They never quarreled since they got married, and even when they had a disagreement, Samuel would give in.

Every minute that they were together was warm and harmonious.

They had feelings for each other, but it was just not that deep.

It was not to the point that Lumi was head over heels in love with him.

Lumi shook off his hand. She was as determined as ever.

She did not intend to look back, nor would she lower her standards.

Lumi would not give up her dignity for the sake of this marriage.

Her career could fail again and again, but not her man.

If her man failed her, she would just marry another one.

Samuel stood there helplessly and watched Lumi walk into the house. He did not even have the courage to go in after her.

Her every word struck his weaknesses.

Samuel's insignificant phrase of "I like you" could not make her change her mind.

Now, he finally felt the weight of the word "regret".

The street lights turned on.

The evening rush passed, =a"=XJT; there were fewer cars on the road.

Samuel made his way back and felt like a zombie.

At this time, his phone rang again.

It was Kirsi.

He leaned his head against the steering wheel as if he was drained of all strength.

Samuel suddenly slammed his fists onto the steering wheel, which caused a loud honk that cut through the silence of the dark night.

After that sharp honk, silence followed.

Samuel calmly gathered his emotions and picked up his phone.

He answered the call but did not speak.

A crying voice came through the phone.

"I really drank too much yesterday. Did my sister really take those pictures? What should I do?"

Samuel was silent for a few seconds. He then took a deep breath.

"She didn't take the pictures. Julie took it, but Lumi has them. You can ask her for them."

The other party was silent for a moment before she spoke in a weak and scared voice, "Julie and I had a fallout. How could she give those pictures to me? My sister was furious when I talked to her last time, so she probably wouldn't give them to me either."

Samuel laughed speechlessly.

"Then what do you want?"

Kirsi keenly sensed Samuel's change in attitude.

The man who had always been in her control suddenly rejected her, which meant that he was getting out of her control.

Kirsi immediately changed the subject and spoke indifferently.

"I don't want anything. I just don't want this to affect you guys. I'm the most innocent one in this situation since we've had no contact after your wedding."

The "no contact" Kirsi referred to was not

phone calls and messages.

She meant that they had no intimate contact.
