The Deserted Rich Beauty (Nicole and eric) -
Chapter 2475 The Role of A Third Wheel
Soon, the person the Yeagers had been waiting for arrived.
That person did not seem the slightest bit guilty for being late.
A little boy followed him.
The kid liked to look around and saw Selena at a glance.
He thought about going there to surprise Selena, but he realized that he came with Eric, so he was hesitant.
Since Chance saw Selena, Eric naturally saw her too.
Eric folded his sleeves with one hand and looked stern as he glanced in the direction of Selena and Zachary. He was exuding such a frightening chill, but the couple did not notice him at all.
Selena and Zachary ate happily and chatted about everything. Occasionally, they would talk about the people around them in a low voice.
The more they talked, the more they hit it off. They were also no longer as distant as before.
They looked like a young couple in love.
This scene was an eyesore to Eric.
He thought, 'Hah! No wonder that woman was unmoved when I hinted that she could pursue me last time. She even uncharacteristically blocked me and stopped contacting me. Turns out, she already found her next boyfriend! She's really something!'
Eric narrowed his eyes and held back his anger.
He pushed Chance, who was beside him, and said with a motive, "If you want to go over, go ahead. It's only right for you to greet someone you know. I told you that you must be polite. I have something to discuss, so I'll pick you up after I'm done."
Chance nodded hesitantly.
He was happy and apprehensive.
That was because he was happy to see Selena yet afraid that he would disturb her.
However, Eric did not care about Chance and walked straight to the Yeagers' table.
Seeing Eric approach, the Yeagers immediately stood up to greet him.
They were a lot more humble than before.
Larry looked inquisitive and cautious.
"Mr. Ferguson, I would like to thank you for letting Cindy out of the police station. Cindy learned her mistake. I hope you won't blame her anymore."
Eric's indifferent eyes glanced at the divider next to him and thought that it was a disturbance.
He inadvertently glanced to the side and smiled faintly and indifferently.
"As long as Ms. Yeager learns from her mistake. She ought to be more careful in the future and stop revealing herself."
Eric had an underlying meaning in saying that.
Cindy only felt a chill on her back that slowly spread all over her body.
She lowered her head. When she thought about the time she saw Selena at Eric's house, she became spiteful again.
However, she suppressed her emotions.
Cindy looked remorseful and fragile, unlike before. She took a deep breath.
"I know I was wrong. Don't worry. I'll watch out in the future."
To reassure Eric, Larry deliberately said, "I have already found a marriage partner for Cindy. He's the vice president of our company. Although he's divorced, he's still young and promising. He'll be able to help Cindy in the future. Mr. Ferguson, I hope that from now on, we can put the past behind us and become good business partners again."
Larry raised his wine glass and looked at Eric respectfully.
Eric swept across Larry's face lightly. His eyelashes covered his gloomy eyes, and his emotions were inscrutable.
"Of course. I also hope that you guys can take care of yourself."
The Yeagers could tell that Eric was just being perfunctory.
In fact, Eric's attention was on the table diagonally opposite him.
It was a pity that they were too far away, so he could not hear what was going on.
Chance walked over cautiously and greeted Selena with a smile.
"Aunt Selena, you're here too!"
Selena looked at him in surprise, smiled, and touched his little face.
"It's you! Long time no see. Why haven't you grown taller?"
Chance was shy and embarrassed.
"It's only been a few days, so you won't be able to tell the difference. Auntie, is this uncle your boyfriend?"
Chance looked at Zachary, smiled, and reached out to shake his hands solemnly.
"Hello, my name is Chance Ferguson."
Zachary raised his eyebrows. He did not expect this kid to be so formal.
Chance Ferguson.
When Zachary heard his name, he knew that the kid had something to do with Eric Ferguson.
Zachary became more alert.
The two shook hands, and Chance said with a smile, "You two are a good match! Uncle, you must treat Aunt Selena well. I hope you two will have a cute baby!" Selena looked at Zachary in embarrassment and finally looked at Chance with a tangled expression.
Why was this child so similar to Chaz?
Zachary glanced at Chance in surprise.
Chance was completely different from Eric.
Zachary thought Chance was here to make trouble, but Chance's words were pleasant to his ears.
He wished he could reward the kid.
Zachary grinned and immediately moved aside to make space for Chance.
"Come over and sit with us!"
Chance stood there hesitantly and did not agree immediately.
"But I don't want to disturb your date!"
Zachary glanced at Selena. Seeing that Selena had no objection, he smiled brightly.
"It's okay. We have plenty of time to go on dates. This is the first time we meet, so we should get to know each other well."
Chance nodded, raised his bright eyes, and looked at Selena with a smile.
"Auntie, this uncle is really good-looking. He has a good personality too!"
Zachary was a million times better than Eric.
Zachary smiled. He did not expect Eric to have such a cute, smart, lively, clever, and likable son.
This was probably Eric's only advantage.
However, this advantage did not side with Eric.
Selena could not help but laugh. She immediately called a waiter over.
"Shall I order you a kid's meal? Or do you want something else? Did you come here by yourself?"
Chance smiled embarrassedly.
"I'm fine with anything. I'm not picky. I came with Daddy, but he's socializing and said he'll pick me up when he's done."
Zachary smiled meaningfully but quickly restrained it.
"Selena, why don't we eat together? This kid is really cute."
Selena nodded. "Sure! Little Chance has always been like this. He's not at all like his father. The two of them don't have the same personalities, don't you think?"
Zachary nodded in agreement.
Except for his looks, Chance was nothing like Eric!
The trio talked, laughed, ate, and drank. Chance did not shy away from praising the two adults.
Chance felt that Selena and the man in front of him were truly a good match.
He also thought that his dad was not good enough for Aunt Selena.
Eric knew their location, but Selena and Zachary did not know where Eric was.
Occasionally, their laughter would reach Eric's ears.
The happier they laughed, the gloomier Eric's face became.
In the end, Larry and Cindy thought that they had done something wrong to upset Eric because they did not know what was going on. The father and daughter were complimenting Eric apprehensively, but Eric was unmoved.
