Logan opened the back door for Nicole. Lil Michael had been waiting inside for a long time. He was escorting her to the banquet.

Nicole bent down and put one foot in when a big hand suddenly grabbed her arm tightly, pulling her back.

She instantly recognized the man's cold and stern aura.

"Mr. Ferguson..."

Logan was a little surprised.

He subconsciously wanted to protect Nicole and was thinking if he should pull Nicole back from Eric's grip. 1

However, Eric tightly encircled Nicole in his arms with a strong attitude and a bitter chill in his eyes.

His tone was playful and a little threatening.

Nicole was entrapped in his embrace, but she did not struggle. Instead, she moved with his strength and only looked at him indifferently.

When Eric saw this look on her, his heart felt tickled.

She was in his arms, and their breaths were extremely close to each other.

He did as he thought.

Eric lowered his head slightly and almost touched her sweet lips, but in the next second, she gently turned her head sideways. Her eyes were clear and cold. 'Is she so afraid that others will know about us? Is she with the trust fund kid in this Maybach?'

A fierce storm brewed in Eric's eyes.

He pinched her chin and wanted to forcefully kiss her.

In the next second, the young man got out of the car. His voice was cold and sarcastic.

"Mr. Ferguson, you dare to touch her?"

A sharp and dangerous look flashed in Eric's eyes, but he froze when he saw the man.

Kai stood there with his hands in his pockets. He had a cold smirk at the corners of his lips, but his face was glum as he glared at Eric with a warning gaze.

Eric paused for a moment and looked down at Nicole's lazy and mocking smile. He then gritted his teeth and let go of her.

The atmosphere was a little stagnant for a while.

Logan just felt like being invisible. 1

Nicole casually straightened her dress and got into the car without so much as a glance at him.

'Hah! Sick bastard! We'll see if he still dares to act recklessly!'

Eric did not know what to say for a moment. He did not expect the ballsy trust fund kid to be Nicole's third brother...

What can he do to save his reputation in front of his future brother-in-law?

Eric immediately regretted his actions. He knew how protective the Stanton brothers were of their precious sister, to the point they were willing to do anything for her.

He clenched his fist and coughed slightly. "Young Master Kai, what a coincidence..."

Kai sneered. His gaze carried a detached coldness and disgust. 'This motherf *cker Eric Ferguson dares to bully my sister in front of me? Does he think that I'm non-existent?' "Coincidence?" Kai asked. "Mr. Ferguson, when did you become so thick-skinned?"

Eric's face stiffened slightly.

No one dared to talk to him like that. If it were anyone else, he would definitely pay the price for that. 1

However, Kai was Nicole's brother, so it was a different story.

Eric walked past Kai and paused for a moment in front of him.

He spoke in a voice that only the two of them could hear without any emotion.

"Kai, is that piece of jade useful? Does Ms. Nixon like i t?"

Kai's body stiffened slightly. A trace of surprise flashed in his eyes. 'The piece of jade that I got with great difficulty which I intended to give to Julie as a replacement for her broken jade pendant was actually Eric's?'
