The Divorced Billionaire Heiress -
Chapter 1918
Chapter 1918 No Conscience
There were just four people in the room.
The assistant was looking for a medical kit on the side, so Kirsi was definitely not talking to her.
That meant that Kirsi was directing it to Julie and Nicole.
Nicole blinked and looked back at Kirsi.
Sure enough, Kirsi raised her eyes to look at them. Or to be precise, she was looking at Nicole.
Kirsi moved her lips with some difficulty.
"Lumi said that you guys are good friends. I'm so envious of her because no matter what I become, I can't be friends with everyone without any worries like her."
The assistant at the side sensed Kirsi's depressed mood and hurriedly came over with the medical kit.
"Kirsi, don't say anything first. Just explain later..."
Kirsi stopped her. "You can leave first. I want to talk to them."
The assistant hesitated for a while but still left in the end.
Nicole stood there. "What do you want to say? If you have the time, why didn't you explain it to your sister?"
Kirsi lowered her head and let out a light laugh.
"I will, but I know that you guys have seen me and Samuel together. I just want to make it clear that it's purely coincidental."
Julie looked away and did not believe her at all.
Nicole said, "Why didn't all these 'coincidences' happen to others but you? It truly is coincidental, huh?".
Kirsi gritted her teeth and spoke.
"I already let go of that relationship when they got married. I was resentful and unwilling before. I hated myself for being Kirsi and not Lumi. I hated that my father was always biased. Did you think that I didn't know that they were getting married? At that time, I was at a low point in my career, and I was toyed around by Samuel, so I was living in fear the entire time. You guys think that I have no conscience, but who in the entire Makinen family, besides Lumi, has one?"
Julie looked at Kirsi with wrinkled brows.
"What's the use of you saying all this to us? If you feel aggrieved, you can explain to Lumi. We only believe what we see, and we won't change our stance just because of your words."
Julie obviously did not want to stand there and listen to Kirsi's nonsense any longer.
She used to think that Kirsi was straightforward and friendly because Kirsi did not climb up the ladder in the circle through connections.
But now, it seems that Kirsi was not much better off.
Kirsi was despicable for leveraging her sister's marriage to make it big.
Nicole silently glanced at Kirsi and followed Julie out.
Kirsi watched them leave with red eyes.
After a while, the assistant came in.
The assistant was a little heartbroken when she saw Kirsi's downcast appearance.
"Everyone's waiting outside. If you're not in the mood, I'll tell the director that you're not feeling well so that we can postpone the shoot."
Kirsi shook her head, wiped her eyes, and stood up.
She regained composure in an instant.
"It's okay. Nothing can delay the shoot. This job is my everything. I have no other way out."
"Don't worry, Kirsi. Didn't Samuel say that he'd explain? Besides, you didn't betray your sister. You were with Samuel first, and after they got married, you haven't contacted him. Samuel was the one who sought you out repeatedly..."
"Shut up..."
Kirsi interrupted the assistant and took a deep breath.
"My sister didn't do anything wrong. Why does she have to pay for what we did? I must apologize to her in person regardless of whether she forgives me or not. I wanted Ms. Nixon and Ms. Stanton to help persuade her, but now, they don't want to get involved in this matter. I guess that's for the best since this isn't something to be proud of. My sister has always been prideful, so she definitely won't make a big deal out of it."
