Something jerked inside Bethany the moment she saw Justin.

She felt like a mouse who ran into a cat. Her first instinct was to scamper away into the dark and never surface again.

Gregory's cold gaze swept across Justin's stern expression. Then Gregory hurriedly got up and approached Nigel. "Dad, you should have told me you were coming. I could have welcomed you outside." "It's not like I'm visiting as a guest. This is my house! Besides, I wouldn't dare trouble Chairman Salvador himself to welcome me." Nigel scoffed. He had never been very pleasant with his son. The look in Gregory's eyes darkened.

It was clear that the old man was implying that Tideview Manor did not belong to Gregory. Gregory should not presume himself to be the owner of the place just because he lived here.

“Grandpa, I heard Carrie has been recovering at your place. How has she been doing? Is she feeling better?" Bethany perched awkwardly behind Gregory and pretended to express concern for her younger sister.

"She's feeling much better. The brat has been living a good life at my place."

With that, Nigel turned toward Justin and asked suspiciously, “Justin, seeing as you took me back here to see your father, did you have something you want to tell us?"

Justin lowered himself and straightened the cashmere blanket covering Nigel's lap. He narrowed his eyes and said, "Haven't you been wondering who was the one colluding with the Hoffmans by leaking Carrie's mental diagnosis report? Dad, you also mentioned you wanted to replace out who betrayed us, didn't you? That person has been hiding in plain sight this entire time.”

As soon as he finished his sentence, Justin cast a piercing look at Bethany, whose face was distorted with fear.

"Why, why are you looking at me?!" Bethany began sweating out of fear. She pathetically stumbled backward, even knocking over an expensive tea set on the table.

She cried out. "What are you trying to say? Are you suggesting that I was the one who leaked the information?! Even if you can't replace the culprit, you shouldn't lash out and blame it on me!" Gregory and Nigel cast an astonished look at Bethany.

Nigel's eyes grew wide. His hand clenched fiercely around the armrest of the wheelchair while he asked, “Justin... Are you saying that Bethany was working with the Hoffmans to sabotage Carrie?!"

Gregory shot a stern look at his son. "Justin, this is no laughing matter! Both Carrie and Bethany are your sisters. Even if you don't like Bethany, you can't accuse her of something like that just because of her history with Bella. You're going to have to show us some proof!"

Bethany jumped at the lifeline offered to her and immediately worked on shifting the narrative. "Yes! That's right! You're only doing this for Bella because you wanted to get on her good side!"

On the other side, Bella, who was not involved in this, suddenly sneezed and wondered if somebody had been badmouthing her.

Justin continued to glare at Bethany. Even without speaking, Bethany could feel her skin crawling.

It was almost comedic.

She could not help it. Her guilt was making her agitated.

"There are only four people who have access to Carrie's diagnosis report-Grandpa, Dad, myself, as well as Shannon, who has already passed know Grandpa and Dad would never do something like this. However, Shannon may have made some sort of deal with you and gave you Carrie's report before she went to prison." Justin's tone was flat and intimidating.

Bethany felt like there was something lodged in her throat, as if Justin were strangling her.

She could not accuse Nigel and Gregory of the crime, so she could only resort to something else. "Well, you could have done it too! Do you remember when Zoe revealed that Bella was infertile at the Reeds' dinner party last time? There was also the time when the Hoffmans got into it with the Thompsons!

"You must have done this because

you wanted to get revenge on the Hoffmans! can't believe you would even stoop low enough to sacrifice your sister! Don't act like you haven't used worse tricks than this over the years against your business rivals. Everyone in Savrow knows how cunning you can get!"

"Bethany! Watch your tone around your brother!" Nigel reprimanded her. "He has been giving his all, sacrificing his health and sanity for Salvador Corporation and our family over the years. How could you attack him like this? If he is as despicable as you make him out to be, then all of us in the family are no better than him!"

Judging by Gregory's darkening expression, it was clear that Bethany's outburst had made him very upset.

"Grandpa! How far are you going to go just to protect Justin?"

Bethany stamped her feet anxiously and desperately tried to defend herself. "I know I have made mistakes in the past, but it was Shannon who made me do it! She was the one who set me up!"
