The Divorced Heiress’s Revenge -
Chapter 1983
Chapter 1983
"Pfft! Chairman Hoffman, I guess you have too much pent-up energy. Justin is just brushing my hair, but your mind is in the gutter!" Bella chuckled. She then ran her fingers through the smooth and glossy hair that Justin meticulously cared for.
"Ryan, don't rush the wedding. Just register your marriage with Carrie first. Establishing your legal
marital status is more important." As Justin suggested it, he immediately regretted it and glanced at Bella to see her reaction.
Thankfully, she did not seem to mind. She continued to apply her skincare products with a radiant smile, her delicate face glowing and inviting.
"Don't worry, I'll definitely do it this time." With deep affection, Ryan said, "From now on, Carrie will be the Hoffman Group chairman's wife."
"And your father-in-law will be Gregory Salvador. So, you can walk around Savrow with pride," Bella teased in a lazy tone.
"I won't rely on the Salvadors' resources. I can take care of Carrie and support the Hoffman Group on my own."
"If you need help, just ask. Don't try to handle everything alone." Then, Justin added seriously, "Don't forget that you have friends like us."
After a moment of thought, Bella's eyes lit up with excitement.
"Since Carrie doesn't want a grand wedding, how about a simple, family-only ceremony? I remember seeing the aurora in one of Carrie's paintings. She mentioned wanting to see it. You could have the wedding in Botvia. It's one of the best places to see the aurora! You can just invite close family to attend. This would be great for Carrie's social anxiety. You can also have your honeymoon there. That way, you'd kill two birds with one stone!"
"The aurora..." Ryan's heart ached.
Although he loved Carrie deeply, he was only now learning about her dream to see the aurora.
Love alone was not enough. As an inexperienced husband, he had so much more to learn and do.
"In these turbulent times, your priority is managing the Hoffman Group. Keep the shareholders calm and stabilize the stock price. Don't let opportunists take advantage of you."
Bella gazed softly at Justin and held his hand. "Justin and I will help you with the wedding preparations."
"Bella, you've been worrying so much about me and Carrie. When will you and Justin get around to it?" Ryan asked with genuine concern.
Though Justin and Bella's relationship was now rock-solid. They did not need a marriage certificate to prove their love. Having seen their journey, Ryan sincerely hoped they could restore their marital status and make up for lost time.
To Ryan, the most important thing was to secure a rightful title for his best friend!
Even if one day the heiress of KS Group got tired of Justin, complained about his age, and went looking for fresh, young suitors, his best friend would still have the secure status of the rightful spouse.
It was all about planning ahead!
Justin's Adam's apple bobbed as he tightened his grip on the comb.
"Let's get Carrie's wedding done first. We can wait."
After ending the call with Ryan, Bella noticed that the man behind her remained silent. She crossed her slender, fair legs, her toes playfully twirling, causing her pink fluffy slippers to dangle precariously. Her eyes sparkled like water ripples as she squinted slightly.
"Why are you suddenly so quiet, Mr. Salvador? What's on your mind?"
"I was just thinking about how beautiful your hair is," Justin replied, his large hand gently lifting her long hair, combing through it absentmindedly.
His voice was husky, low, and restrained the kind of suppressed allure that unknowingly enticed Bella. "Tsk, Mr. Salvador, you're not being honest." Bella lightly tapped Justin's neat trousers with her toes, her rosy lips curling up. "Did you hear what Ryan said earlier?"
"I heard him."
"Mr. Salvador, don't you want to secure a rightful title for yourself?" She poked his firm abs through his white shirt.
In an instant, Justin's heart raced. He felt like a prey hidden in the depths of a forest, suddenly detected by a keen hunter. His heart was beating more urgently and chaotically.
After a long pause, the man spoke, his voice hoarse. "I do..."
"Hmm? What did you say? I didn't hear you." Bella tilted her head, raising her delicate ear, her bright eyes blinking.
"I want it, Bella. I want you."
He got so nervous that he inadvertently broke the comb with his bare hands.
As Bella looked on in shock, Justin got on one knee before her. He raised his finely chiseled face with sharp brows and starry eyes. His thin, handsome lips trembled slightly as he spoke, "Ms. Thompson, please give me a rightful title."
The woman's eyes deepened, showing no emotion.
Justin was not someone who would flinch even if the sky fell.
Yet now he was gulping nervously.
Justin said, "I'd even accept the title as your paramour."
