The Divorced Heiress’s Revenge -
Chapter 2355
Chapter 2355
After spending a long time talking with Bella, both Asher and Steven noticed her lack of energy. Knowing that her body was still weak and in need of rest, they left her hospital room together.
"Our precious young lady-how has her life become so full of suffering ever since she met Justin?"
Stepping out of Bella's room, Steven expressed the heartache weighing on him. His voice trembled as he shared his concerns. "The frostbite on her hands is serious. I worry it will impact her ability to function normally in the future. She's one of the top surgeons in the country, not to mention a world-class sculptor. If her hands are ruined..."
"Enough." Asher's low voice cut him off. His eyes were red, clenching his fists so tightly his fingers ached. The pain in his heart was almost unbearable.
"We'll replace the best medicine for her. We'll make sure she recovers fully, with not even a scar left behind."
"Mr. Asher." Steven hesitated before continuing, his voice raw and hoarse, "What I'm about to say might be difficult to hear."
Steven rubbed his weary face, trying to hold back tears, his whole demeanor on the verge of breaking. "I know Justin is an incredible man. I know they love each other deeply. But if this is where their story is headed-this cruel, heartless ending—then I'd rather Justin vanish entirely from the young lady's life. I'd rather they had never met at all!"
Before Steven's voice fully faded, the sound of steady footsteps echoed behind them.
Asher lifted his gaze abruptly, while Steven spun around in surprise.
Standing before them was Justin, impeccably dressed in a sharp suit, his tall and commanding figure holding a small, insulated container.
It was clear he had overheard every word.
Justin's deep eyes remained calm, his expression as composed as ever.
Steven was a little flustered at first, but then he realized that everything he had said came straight from the heart. Why should he panic?
So Steven straightened his posture and stood firm, like a guard protecting the gate. "Justin? Why are you here?" Asher frowned deeply. "I heard from my father that you were seriously injured and needed to stay in the hospital for recovery. Isn't it unwise to come here like this?"
Despite everything, Asher still cared about Justin. Their bond was one forged through life-and-death experiences. Even if they could not become family, they would always remain friends.
"I'm fine," Justin said quietly, his lips pressing into a thin line. "Is Bella asleep? I'd like to see her."
"Justin... Do you really think Ms. Bella would want to see you again?" Steven's chest heaved with anger. "Do you think she hasn't suffered enough because of you? Why do you still need to rub salt into her wounds?"
"I'm not here to hurt her. I brought her some soup, her favorite," Justin replied, as if oblivious to Steven's anger. "You...!" Steven's head throbbed with frustration.
"Bella probably hasn't fallen asleep yet, but she's very tired." Asher stepped between the two men, pulling Steven
back
Locking eyes with Justin, his voice was rough with emotion, suppressing a complex mix of feelings. "She's been through so much these past few days. She's taken countless medications and been hooked up to who knows how many tubes. She's suffered unbearably. Justin, I know you don't love Bella anymore. But I ask you to please talk to her calmly. Don't make her feel worse. Don't let her hurt herself again. That's all I ask "
Upon hearing these words, Justin's long lashes trembled slightly.
Within his chest, a faint, intricate ache began to stir, subtle and nearly undetectable if one was not paying close attention.
